Community Update from Principal Griffin
Dear Erie High School families,
Thanks to our students, staff, and community, we have had a fun, exciting, and memorable Homecoming Week here at Erie High School! I have included my weekly video update here for your viewing. To review previous weekly video updates, you can visit my YouTube page.
An outstanding Homecoming Week at Erie High School
Thank you for your participation and engagement in the 2024 Homecoming Kick-Off on Monday night - it was great to see such a large turnout of our school community for this annual event. I am grateful to our athletic and extracurricular programs, our athletic and activities staff members, and our student clubs and leadership groups for their hard work and dedication to kicking off our Homecoming week with this spirit filled event.
The SVVSD Drone Team performance on Monday night was incredible. We are so fortunate to have robust programmatic opportunities for our students in St. Vrain. I hope that all those in attendance enjoyed the drone show to wrap up our kick-off event. Overall, this has been one of the most enjoyable Homecoming weeks of my career. Thank you to Mr. Salzeider and our Student Government for their efforts to plan a fun and enjoyable Homecoming Week in our community.
I wish all of our students and families a safe and fun Homecoming weekend. We are looking forward to a big turnout for our Homecoming football game (7:00 pm on Friday 9/20 at Tiger Stadium) as well as our Homecoming Dance (7:00 - 10:00 pm at Tiger Stadium). We are monitoring the weather and are prepared to move the event inside should the weather necessitate the change. We will have an announcement on Saturday if there is a change to move the event inside. Please join me in encouraging your child(ren) to stay safe while enjoying this exciting Homecoming weekend.
Erie High School Theatre presents Our Town October 3-5, 2024
I am excited for the upcoming Erie High School theatre program fall production of Our Town, running October 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Our students and staff members have been working diligently to prepare what I am sure will be another incredible performance for our community. If you are interested in attending this event, please pre-purchase your tickets here.
Thank you for your continued support of your child(ren) and Erie High School! GO TIGERS!
Sincerely,
Josh Griffin
Erie High School Principal
Athlete of the Month

Nathan is a forward for the Varsity Boys' Soccer team. Through five games, he has scored eight goals, is leading the team in scoring, and is on pace for a record-setting year, trending towards 20+ goals on the season. He has quickly developed into one of the strongest leaders on the team and is an exemplary teammate on and off the field!
Gloria Stem (Grade 12)
Gloria had a standout performance on September 12th, recording 14 kills with an impressive .579 hitting percentage. This followed her strong showing on September 5th, where she tallied 10 kills with a .571 hitting percentage, maintaining remarkable consistency. Beyond her stats, Gloria's great attitude, both on and off the court, embodying leadership and positivity, is truly inspiring. Her blend of athletic excellence and strong character makes her an asset to her team.
