Updates/Reminders

✏️ October is College Awareness and Bully Prevention Month. We will have various events throughout the month of October.

✏️ We are beginning recruitment for the upcoming freshman class. We will hold two parent nights for those families that are interested in learning more about Innovation. If you know of a family that is interested in Innovation please let them know we will host parent sessions on October 22 and 29 at 6:00 at Innovation.

Upcoming Events

✏️ Mrs. Higgin’s Honors Earth Science class is hosting a hurricane relief drive to help the many people facing challenges in Western North Carolina. Some of the items being collected include: bottled water, canned food, baby wipes, sunscreen, cleaning supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, pet food, toiletries, and gently used coats/jackets. Items can be dropped off until October 11th.

✏️ We will have fall break on October 7th and 8th. There will no Innovation or ECU courses during break.

✏️ We will have a PTSO meeting on October 9th at 5:30 at Innovation.

✏️ Report cards will be sent home on Friday, October 11th.

✏️ The Trailblazer club will have a field trip camping at Riverpark North on October 11th and 12th. Club members should have brought information home last week regarding this trip.

✏️ October 14th through October 18th is parent/teacher conference week. Please reach out to your teacher this week if you need to set up a conference to discuss your leader.

✏️ All sophomores will take the Pre-ACT on Thursday, October 17th.

✏️ October 18th is a professional learning day. There will be no Innovation classes on the 18th. If leaders need transportation to their ECU classes they need to reach out to Mr. Grant.

✏️ Senior families mark your calendars for October 24th. We will host a financial aid night from 6:00-7:30 at Innovation. More details will be shared soon.

✏️ October 15, 2024 is the application deadline to be eligible to apply to the ECU Honors College (see Honors College website for more information).

✏️ There will be a College Fair at the Greenville Hilton in the Carolina Ballroom on October 15, 2024. The bus will leave IECHS at 9:15 and return by 11:00. You are able to drive to the Fair but you must have a permission slip to drive. You will need to return permission slips by October 4. To prepare for the College Fair register via StriveScan at StriveFair.com. When you visit the different college stations, colleges will scan your StriveScan barcode and share information with you

HERE is a list of colleges that will be at the College Fair.

Permission slips will be given out at "Putney Friday".
