Parent & Community Survey
Understanding the climate and culture of an elementary school is essential to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Parents and guardians play a vital role in shaping this environment, as their perspectives and experiences provide valuable insights into the school’s strengths and areas for growth.
To gather this important feedback, we are conducting a Parent Survey designed to assess key aspects of our school climate and culture. Your input will help us identify what we are doing well and where improvements can be made, ensuring that our school continues to be a place where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and help us create the best possible experience for our students and families.

News from Chief Shearer with the Kent Police Department
The Kent Police Department has been working in conjunction with the Kent City Schools to address traffic concerns, specifically, the safety of students walking in the area of Davey Elementary School. One of the primary concerns that has been raised is the safety of children crossing the street at the intersection of Whittier and Woodard. Often, parents picking up their children from school are parking in the area marked no parking on Woodard near Whittier. This creates a safety hazard because children are not able to see around the vehicles for passing traffic. With this in mind, the Kent Police Department will be taking strict enforcement action on anyone who violates this parking restriction.
We appreciate your cooperation on this issue to make a safer commute for our students.
