๐บ๏ธ Social Studies ๐ฉโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
We will be taking the Social Studies M-STEP this week. M-STEP is a summative state assessment that measures what your child has learned in 3rd-5th grade Social Studies. Your child will take the M-STEP in all four core subjects during the months of April and May. Please make sure that your child gets enough rest and eats well. These tests are not easy and require them to perform at their best.
๐ Read 180 ๐
This week in READ 180 we will continue with our review of phonics and high frequency words. Students will not take an M-Step in READ 180, however please make sure your child is getting rest and eating breakfast before school as they will be testing in other classes. Encourage your students to show us what they know, take their time, and read carefully!
๐งฐ Special Education Intervention โ๏ธ
.Agent Z (Ms. Wierman in disguise shhhhhhh!) is having students solve a tricky case. Students will be inferring texts, identifying the author's purpose, making predictions, and identifying cause and effect of a text to earn pieces of the puzzle to crack the case before Spring Break!
๐จ Art ๐๏ธ
Welcome fourth quarter Art students!
We are starting off this first week by creating portfolios to hold our art work and art journals to create in. These are personal and kids are creating drawings on them that represent who they are and what is important to them.
We also did a fun scavenger hunt so all the kids can get to know their way around their new art studio.
Syllabus' went home with kids yesterday and a "Caring for the Art Studio" contract that needs to be signed by a parent and sent back by Monday April 8th.

๐ฎ Spanish ๐ฅ
They did MUCH better this time around on their quizzes! If your student needs to re-take the quiz, they need to see me by Tuesday. This week we will be reviewing the Spanish that we have learned so far this quarter. We will also find out who our bracket winners are for Locua de Marzo music competition. Students will be making a meme about songs from the competition. We have lots of inside jokes about the songs so canโt wait to see what they come up with!!
