There is excitment in the air as we welcome our 7th and 8th graders back into our building, with a new name - Goshen Junior High School. We are looking foward to a great year of learning together!

The GJH Fundraiser kicked off today (August 11th)! Students will be selling tumblers, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, and other various food items.

Money raised from our fundraiser goes directly to activities and programs that support our students. Clubs, field trips, student awards, end-of-year activities, and many more great opportunities are supported by fundraiser earnings. We apprecaite everyone's participation!

Students brought home packets with sales brochures and detailed infromation today, and they can start selling items NOW! Order forms and money are due on Monday, August 30th.

Ask your child how you can help them get started. Students can sell in person and/or by sending emails or texts to friends and family. See the packet for details.

Every student who sells 12 or more items and turns in orders and money by August 30th will be eligible to attend the reward trip to Trine University. At Trine, students will be able to participate in ice skating, bowling, video games, laser tag, contests for cash prizes, and more! Start selling today!

GJH welcomes several new staff members this year!

GJH will be running a block schedule this year:

- Mondays and Thursdays are EVEN days; students go to periods 2, Homeroom, 4, and 6.

- Tuesdays and Fridays are ODD days; students go to periods 1, 3, 5, and 7.

- On Wednesdays (late arrival days), GJH students start school at 9:05 and will go to all periods except for Homeroom.

When dropping off or picking up your children, please use the North and South entrances. The front lot is reserved for buses only at drop-off and pick-up time.

If dropping off a student in the South lot, please pull all the way around and drop off at the sidewalk to avoid traffic backing up onto the road.

It may come as no surprise that high school is right around the corner for your middle school student! College might seem a long way off, but there are still things your child and you can do right now to prepare for this important time in a student’s life. Seventh and eighth grade students can enroll as a 21st Century Scholar from the time they enter 7th grade to June 30th of their 8th grade year. If the student keeps their grades up and meets a few eligibility requirements, they will get money to pay for college! FREE money!

Every student can receive a free breakfast and lunch each day this year.
