Attendance, Tardies, and Early Dismissals
As we begin the 2024-2025 school year, please keep attendance in mind. Please model the importance of being at school and on time to your student to ensure success throughout the year. Please reach out to Mrs. P. Jeter if you have any questions or concerns.
To avoid tardies, students must be inside their classroom by 7:45am.
Only ten parent notes are allowed per child for the entire school year.
Students are considered truant if they have three consecutive unexcused absences, a total of five or more unexcused absences, or more than 10 unexcused tardies.
Any medical excuses must be turned in within three days upon return to school. The absence will remain unexcused if it is turned in after that time.
Please feel free to contact Nurse Lisa if you are unsure about sending your student due to sickness.
Please reference the WVES student handbook for more information regarding attendance policies.
