Annual Highlight for NLMUSD Early Education Progam
Every year our staff, students and families come out to participate in the Sanchez Halloween Parade. Many thanks to Assistant Director Loretta Gallegos, Claudia Alvarez and her child, Sonya Gonzalez, Gigi Guerrero (with son Levi), as our staff members present. Parents Jenny Villela and Ana Gutierrez came with their children and a fun time was had by all!

Creative Curriculum for Toddlers and Preschool Students
The Early Education Toddler and Preschool classroom environment is guided by The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Toddlers which is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. It is designed to support teachers to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, content-rich program for children with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Healthy Eating Is Important
Let your children learn to love eating vegetables with Chef Lily and Roasting a Rainbow- just in time for family traditions and hearty holiday meals. Healthy eating is important at every age. Families can help children enjoy healthy lives every day.
Make a healthy seasonal snack!
Clementine pumpkins
Ingredients:
- clementine oranges, peeled
- 1 stalk of celery
Directions:
1. Cut the celery stalks into "pumpkin stems." Cut a 1 inch piece of celery from the stalk , and slice this lengthwise into thin strips.
2. Place each 'stem" into the center of the clementine.
**peeling and cutting will need to be completed by an adult**
