Happy Wednesday!
I pray you all enjoyed a beautiful Christmas season! We are excited to be back with our students for more adventures in learning.
Catholic Schools Week is coming! This is one of our favorite weeks of the year because we get to celebrate all of the people that make Saint John special. We do need your help! Please let me know if you are able to help with any of the following:
- January 26 Open House following our CSW Kick-Off Mass
- Assist with various activities during the school day that week (teacher luncheon, class activities, Movie and Magic Day, etc.)
- Participate in our Mass on Monday, January 27, at 9 a.m. We are seeking parent readers, offertory, etc. Names will be chosen by random draw next week.
Take note: this week's Snow Day will be made up on February 17th. Please let us know if you are not receiving emergency calls, or need to make a change to your contact information.
Stay warm!
Sincerely in Christ,
Mrs. Tice

Jubilee 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope
Pope Francis has chosen the motto, "Pilgrims of Hope" for the Jubilee , and encourages all the faithful "to be tangible signs of hope".
Luce is the Vatican's official mascot for the 2025 Jubilee. Luce translates to "light" from Italian and represents the Catholic pilgrim. Her outfit is supposed to represent the Vatican flag and "the journey through life's storms."
In addition to the DAJ Pilgrimage to Washington D.C. on October 17, 2025, individuals of all ages are invited to use the Pilgrim's Passport from December 29, 2024 to September 8, 2025.
The Pilgrim's Passport includes 13 Holy Site Churches named by Bishop Mark, as well as every church in our diocese. Use this passport to "get on the road" over the coming months and enjoy the beauty, warmth, and strength of rich history of our diocese. You might just win one of two over night packages or special gift cards.
- If you would like a copy of the Pilgrim's Passport, please let the Main Office know
Sunday is the Feast Day of
Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys
Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys established schools for young girls, the poor, and children of First Nations. She emphasized academic skills, but also focused on the whole person in the light of Catholicism.
Home and School News
Meeting tonight
All caregivers are invited to join us for our next meeting, to be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight (1/8) in the school auditorium.
Snow Bowl
The Saint John Snow Bowl will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Bellefonte Lanes. This fun family event will replace the traditional Snow Ball dance this year, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 1. It is our intention to alternate between these two events every other year to close out Catholic Schools Week. Watch for more details on this year's Snow Bowl in next week's newsletter.
