24-25 Fast Pass
As we prepare to welcome students back for the new school year, we want to ensure a smooth and safe transition for everyone. Safety is our number one priority, and to maintain a secure environment, we have implemented a "Fast Pass" system for parents and guardians who wish to walk their children into school.
What You Need to Know:
- Fast Pass Requirement: All parents and guardians will need a Fast Pass to accompany their child into the school building on the first day of school.
- How to Obtain a Fast Pass: Fast Passes can be picked up at the school office starting August 12th. We will have extended office hours listed below:
- August 13th - 15th - 7:30 - 6:00 PM
- A background check is not required to obtain your fast pass. However, it will be required to be a volunteer on campus and on field trips. Background checks will take approximatley two weeks to clear.
- Necessary Information: Please bring a valid ID to obtain your Fast Pass. Fast Passes will be updated monthly in the office. The first fast pass will be valid from August - September and will need to be updated in October.
- First Day Procedure: On the first day of school, please have your Fast Pass visible as you enter the school. This will help our staff efficiently manage the flow of people and ensure everyone's safety.
We appreciate your cooperation in making the start of the school year as safe and organized as possible. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the office at 210-398-2150.

Going school clothes shopping?
Please keep in mind our NISD dress code for the year while shopping for your children:
Shorts and skorts should be no more than 4 inches above the top of the kneecap.
In 3rd - 5th grades, skirts and dresses must be no more than four inches above the top of the kneecap. There should not be a cut or slit in the clothing that extends beyond the four inch limit.
Appropriate footwear must be worn; footwear which has toes reinforced with steel, hard plastics or similar materials are specifically prohibited. Shoes with wheels are prohibited as they pose a safety concern. Tennis shoes are the preferred shoe at school for safety reasons. While wearing flip-flops, children often trip while running, so this type of shoe is not allowed during P.E. class.
Hair must be neat and clean. Unconventional colored, multi-colored or spiked/Mohawk hair styles are not permitted.
Headwear must not be worn in buildings. Hats, caps and hoodies are not to be worn indoors and can only be worn outside on approved days.
Oversized clothing, tank tops, muscle shirts, halter tops, spaghetti straps, exposed backs or midriffs, tight-fitting clothing and see-through garments are not permitted.
Indecent/inappropriate patches, writings, or drawings on clothing are prohibited and not to be worn.
*Please refer to the NISD Student Handbook (pages D8-D9) for more detailed information.

Attendance Matters at Fields Elementary
Technology Updates
As we begin this new school year, we want to address an important matter regarding the care of school-issued devices. These tools are essential for our students' learning, and it is crucial that they are treated with respect and responsibility. As part of the Northside ISD device lending agreement signed when technology was issued to our students, our families were notified that in the case of lost or damaged technology they would be financially responsible for the following:
* The repair cost due to intentional damage or damage due to neglect/accident
* Replacement costs due to device loss for any reason (ie. theft, fire, flood, lightning, or any other cause)
* In the event the device is damaged, destroyed or rendered useless while assigned to the student.
Starting this school year, any device that is found to have been broken will incur a $40 charge to cover the cost of repair or replacement. If this problem persists and a student is responsible for damaging multiple devices, no further school devices will be issued to them. In such cases, parents will be responsible for providing the necessary supplies for their student to be successful in the classroom. Last school year at Fields we had 117 repairs and approximately 10 devices rendered useless.
If you have any questions, please contact the FIELDS Administration for more information. If you’d like to opt-out from your child receiving another device in the future and would like to supply your own technology to them, you may do so using this link to the district opt-out form. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain our devices for all students. Let’s work together to ensure a successful and productive school year.
