Principal's Message
Hello Panther Families,
To support student learning and teacher instruction, it is important for students to attend school daily. Thanks to Mrs. Ferruggia, parent of Victor and Adrienne Mendez, we have an attendance contest this quarter. The two primary and two upper grade classes with the highest attendance average this quarter will win a Dunkin Donut party! π© Also, the top two class with the highest attendance average will also receive an arcade game card to La Bella's Pizza! π Let's make sure to have our Panthers attend school daily!
ππ PTA "Purple Up" Day of the Military Child: ππ
Let's support our military students and families by wearing PURPLE!
Our military families face unique challenges compared to civilian families, often experiencing frequent moves and deployment separations. To demonstrate our support and pride in everything they do, let's wear purple!
With our District and State Testing looming ahead, let's prepare our Panthers to be successful during this time, below are some pointers to support.
Prepare for the Test Day:
- Get Enough Sleep: Remind students to get a good night's sleep before the test.
- Eat a Nutritious Breakfast: Encourage students to eat a healthy breakfast on the morning of the test.
- Comfortable Environment: Ensure students have a comfortable and well-lit space to take the test.
- Pack Materials: Make sure students have all the necessary materials, such as pencils, erasers, and any other permitted items.
We have some exciting news, the Balanced Parent Workshop is returning to Parkview! This amazing class is designed to support parents with various strategies to support their child with communication, positive discipline, autonomy and competence, and so much more. For more information, please contact Ms. Perez. See the flyer below. πͺ
Gates:
School gates close promptly at 9am in order to secure the campus and support student learning. All parents and family members must be off campus by that time. Thank you.
Volunteers: π«ππΈπ
If you volunteer in a classroom, make sure you have clearance from Irene Lemos, secretary, in order to adhere to the district guidelines. As a reminder, you can volunteer for one hour in the classroom and one hour with prep work and copies for a maximum of two hours per week.
Student Learning: πππ
As a friendly reminder, to minimize disrupting student learning and required academic instructional minutes, students who forget their lunch can get their lunch from the cafeteria (it is free this school year). All other forgotten items can wait until the following day. Also, per our District Wellness Policy, no sodas or caffeinated drinks are permitted on campus. Thank you for supporting our students learning and wellness environment.
No Pets: πΆπ±π°πΉ
To keep all students safe, we do not permit any pets on school grounds. Thank you for your understanding.
