Shoot for the Stars Fundraiser Update

We held our FINAL day for our Shoot for the Stars fundraiser to purchase a StarLab for our school before Fall Break. Our GRAND TOTAL came to $18,221.25! Way to go, Hawks!

We also have a winner for our CLASS MOVIE PARTY! Congratulations to TEAM GOWER! They took a commanding lead from the start and stayed strong throughout our fundraiser! Great job, Team!

THANK YOU to all of our PMES families for your support over the past few weeks as we worked towards this goal. We knew it was a big ask, and while we didn’t meet our goal, we will continue our quest to SHOOT FOR THE STARS!

PLANET SMOOTHIE SPIRIT NIGHT-11/5

Celebrate our next Digital Learning Day with a treat from our Business Partner, Planet Smoothie-Hamilton Mill! Take the kids out for a fun treat on Tuesday, November 5th from 12-7pm! Planet Smoothie will generously donate a portion of event sales to the PMES PTA.

YEARBOOK ADS DEADLINE IS 11/11

Yearbook ads are a great way to celebrate your student and are especially popular with our 5th grade students. Ad orders are available on the Jostens site below. PLEASE NOTE: You must have your photos ready to design the ad when it’s purchased.

DADS ON DUTY-VETERAN'S DAY EDITION-11/11

Our Dads on Duty Committee will be sponsoring a High Five MONDAY in honor of Veteran's Day on MONDAY, November 11th. If you or a family member are a veteran, we'd love to have you join us to greet our students in the bus and carpool lanes on Veteran's Day. Sign ups will be posted soon on our website at puckettsmillpta.org/volunteer-corner. Time frame is from 7:30am-8:15am. This is a low time commitment event that is a sure-fire way to start your day with a smile!

THANKFUL TREATS

Join us this year as we provide treats for our teachers and staff to enjoy with their families over the holidays! You can drop off STORE BOUGHT baked goods in the car rider line and to the front desk starting Wednesday, November 20th-Friday, November 22nd. All donations must be dropped off by 9am Friday morning. Our goal is to send each teacher and staff member home with a treat which means we need 122 donations. Teachers and staff will be given the opportunity to choose a treat to take home on Friday, November 22nd to enjoy with their families!

REMEMBER-we are looking for STORE BOUGHT, SWEET TREATS for our teachers and staff to take home to be enjoyed with their families over the break. No actual turkeys or homemade desserts are needed! Think cookies, pies, cupcakes, sweet breads-anything sweet that you would want to eat for dessert at your Thanksgiving table! Local businesses that offer some yummy options include: Ingles, Publix, Blue Rooster, The Baking Grounds, Crumbl Cookies, and Kroger.

On Friday afternoon, all teachers and staff will have the opportunity to come browse the delicious treats and select an item to take home to share with their families as a way of showing our appreciation for ALL of the time and energy they put into making our learning environment the WONDERFUL place it is!

November PTA Meeting

Join us for the November PTA Meeting! Meeting will be held IN THE EVENING on Monday, November 11th at 6pm in the media center. This is a great way to come find out more about our PTA if you work during the day and are unable to attend our morning meetings! Everyone is welcome!

Want to purchase an ad to go in the back of the yearbook for your student? This is very popular with our 5th graders! Deadline to purchase ad space is 11/11. You must have your photos ready to design the ad when it’s purchased.

Want to submit photos for this year's yearbook? We love that! You can email your photos to pmeshawksyearbook@gmail.com or just post them in the comments section when we issue photo calls on Facebook! No need to do both-our Yearbook Committee will pull the photos from Facebook if you post them there.

You can now support PMES PTA through your everyday purchases. Every time you shop or dine out, our PTA will receive a donation from the business you are patronizing and you can earn cash back. It's a win-win! (This is a replacement for our Amazon Smiles program which was discontinued last year.)

This will earn our school cashback for in-person shopping and dining. You can also head to the Local Offers page in your Givebacks account to see which local restaurants and retailers are donating to our cause.

3. Earn cashback!

Once you have added the browser extensions, go shopping to start earning cashback and send the $5 bonus to our cause. You'll also earn $5 for each new active backer you refer.
