CAREY & RULE ARE STATE CHAMPIONS
A tradition unlike any other! Our storied #PointerNation Wrestling history book adds two more WIAA State Champions Saturday night and places six on the podium!
- 1st: Roen Carey 144 ( 11-0 over Ty Dennee of Crandon). This is Roen's first State title after finishing as runner-up the past three years.
- 1st: Kade Rule 165 (9-5 over Nash Banko of Oostburg). This is Kade's second straight State title after placing 3rd as a sophomore.
We now have 60 total Individual State Wrestling Champions (58 boys titles, 2 girls). This is more than any other school in the state.
A big congrats also to our State Runner-Up!
- 2nd: Dealya Collins 126 (lost 17-2 to Madi Peach of Milton - defending State Champion). This is the second straight year Dealya has finished as runner-up after placing 3rd as a freshman.
We also placed three additional Pointers on the podium!
- 4th: Memphis Burkhalter 106 (lost 12-1 to Taylor Underwood of Marathon).
- 6th: Liam Carey 120 (lost 16-0 to Martez Sheard of La Crosse Aquinas).
- 6th: Jacob Dannenberg 150 (lost 13-1 to Brock Hinderman of Iowa-Grant/Highland).
Kudos, also, to Emily Heisner, Emmett Collins, Elliot Kite, and Sammy Springer for their fine showings at State -- the future is bright!

If you want to be a mathlete, MP is the place to be! Our middle and high school Math Team members had an incredible performance at Wednesday’s SWAL Math Contest held at Cuba City. Read all about it below!
HIGH SCHOOL
At the high school level, five students from each division compete, both individually and as a team. Students take three individual tests as well as one team test. This year, both our Advanced Algebra and Calculus Divisions placed second!
- Advanced Algebra team members: Hank Allbright, Lily Fox, Violet Renwick, Johnny Robinson, and Faye Schuette.
- Calculus team members: Kalea Biddick, Anthony Buleje-Cadena, Cole Hentrich, Liz Hoffman, and Anthony Luu.
