Weekly Announcements

1st Quarter ends next Friday!
Fords have been very busy in and out of school in past few weeks! Clubs, athletics, music, arts, employment, friends, college applications, family, academics, and so much more! Many seniors were working on their college applications this week.
Lots of fundraisers below to match all the action at HHS!
October 31st is an 11 AM dismissal with all 4 Blocks in the schedule. Schedule is included.

Haverford High School Job Fair #1

Looking for Employers.

Holidays are right around the corner and we are getting ready to host our Fall Student Job Fair. The Haverford High School Business Department along with NBHS, FBLA, and Discover Haverford will be hosting our Fall Student Job Fair on Thursday, November 7th. The fair will take place in our gym from 9:00 - 10:50.

Our fair will focus on Juniors and Seniors who are looking for employment right now but all students will have the opportunity to attend. The job fair will run similar to the ones we had in the past, allowing you and our students the opportunity to speak with each other. If you are looking for employees now or will be in the future, take advantage of this opportunity.

Fall Job Fair Registration

Additional information:

The fair is free to register. The fair will take place in the morning from 9:00-10:45 in our gym. We will provide tables for you. If you are looking to hire students now or for the fall/winter, this is a great time to speak with them. We should have about 1,000 students attend.

In the meantime, if you would like to be featured on our Student Job Board please let me know. And please help spread the word to anyone you think would be interested. Thank you very much.

Students can sign up 24 hours in advance through Naviance to visit with college.

Students must get a pass signed by their teacher to visit during that block. Passes are available in the Counseling office with Ms. Schnyder. This WEEK:

SAVE THE DATE: Financial Aid Night Presentation - 11/18

On Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the high school library, Fran McKeown from PHEAA will provide an overview of the financial aid process and available resources for Haverford families. This is an important and valuable presentation for any students and families considering post-secondary education.

SAVE THE DATE: FAFSA Completion Night - 12/17

To assist Haverford families completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), HHS will be hosting an in-person FAFSA Overview & Completion Night. Led by PHEAA Access partner, Fran McKeown, this evening will offer two sessions for FAFSA completion and will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 6-7 pm & 7-8 pm in the high school library. It will be free to Haverford parents and students. A sign-up genius will be sent closer to the event date.

Attention Juniors and Seniors... Haverford will be attending the Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair on 11/18/24 in Willingboro, NJ. There will be over 30 colleges and universities in attendance. The trip will take place during the school day. We are asking all interested 11th and 12th grade students to sign up by Friday, 10/25. Annual Blood Drive

If you're 16 or older, sign up to donate at Student Senate's Blood Drive on 10/23 from blocks 1-3. You can sign up at lunch or use the QR code on a blood drive flyer.
