Happy New Year to our IC Community!
I hope this message finds everyone refreshed and ready for the opportunities a new year brings. January is a time for fresh starts and looking ahead to the wonderful possibilities God has in store for us. We are ready to get started with this second semester of school.
This month, we are especially excited to celebrate Catholic Schools Week (January 26–February 1). This is a time to honor the gift of Catholic education and reflect on how our school is united in faith and community. Be on the lookout for details about our weeklong activities, including Masses, service projects, student celebrations, and our annual Parent Lunch.
As we celebrate the blessings of Catholic education, I encourage you to support our Capital Campaign. Our parish community has committed to building a new school to ensure that we can continue providing a vibrant and faith-filled environment for generations to come. This decision aligns with the wisdom shared by large investors who emphasize the long-term benefits of new construction over maintaining older facilities.Your financial support—no matter the amount or spreading the word—will make a profound impact on the future of our school and parish. Together, we can build a space where faith and learning flourish for years to come.
I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued prayers and support for our school. May this new year bring blessings, growth, and joy to each of your families. Please continue to pray for our students, staff, and parish community.
Blessings,
Mrs. Heather Schrimpf, Principal
Food for Thought
Greetings Friends: Well, we are off and running into another school year! Where does the time to? I want to let you know that our new policy of assigning school families to be greeters and or gift bearers at Mass, is going very well. We are delighted to see our young school families participating in our weekend liturgies. In addition, I am thrilled to inform you that our Capital Campaign is also going very well. We have a team of incredibly dedicated volunteers, helping us move this enormous project forward. We are counting on all of you to help and participate in anyway that you can as well! Remember, the very future of our school and the exquisite Catholic heritage, which we have inherited, is dependent on us to move that forward too! Let us hold all of these efforts and one another in prayer. God love ya. Fr. Matt

Nurse's Notes and Reminders
Help Nurse Debbie get a jump on 2025-2026 school year! Many of our 7th graders have already received the immunizations that they need for admittance into 8th grade. As Nurse Debbie begins to communicate with 7th grade families about needed immunizations, having updated records for each student will help her tailor her communications. Feel free to send your student's most updated immunization records so that Nurse Debbie can determine what immunizations are needed for your student to be in attendance 2025-2026 school year.

Technology Tidbit
Welcome to 2025 and 3rd Quarter! Our students are becoming proficient at the ins and outs of Google.
Just a reminder that students in grades Kindergarten-8th grade have an IC Angels email account. Please ask your child or their teacher for their username and password if they haven’t already shared this with you.
Teachers use these email addresses to communicate with students and parents. Students also use these to log into their Chromebooks, Google Drive, and Google Classroom. We also have some resources on the school’s website for students and parents on how to use Google Classroom if you are unfamiliar with it.Praying for a safe and healthy year for all! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Counselor's Desk
Happy New Year! We’ve covered a lot in counseling so far and we’re excited for what’s to come in the second half of this school year. When we return, the majority of classes will be covering personal body safety. This will include topics such as safe touch, setting boundaries, consent, online safety, and reporting to trusted adults. These lessons will meet the Diocese’s Virtus requirement. If you have any questions or concerns about these lessons or do not wish for your child to participate, please feel free to contact us or the office regarding this matter.
Tip for the Month:
While talking about personal body safety can be awkward, it’s vital that you talk with your children about how to keep themselves safe and what to do if someone violates one of their boundaries. Don’t be afraid to talk with your child, regularly and often. These conversations should be open and ongoing and include multiple, natural conversations over time so that children know it’s safe to talk about these topics with you.
Personal safety also includes online safety. Here’s a great website with lots of information about
staying safe online. NetSmartz Home (missingkids.org)
**Reminder to check out our Counseling Virtual Classroom! There are lots of resources and fun
activities for families!**
