North Highlights
March 26, 2025

PRINCIPAL'S PAGE
Hello North,
It's hard to believe, but we are nearing the end of the 3rd marking period! Students - make sure you end this marking period strong. The marking period closes next Friday, April 4.
As we move further into the school year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to the North community. Our students continue to shine, and it's because of the collective efforts of our staff and families that we are able to create an environment where they can thrive. I'm seeing so many amazing things from our classrooms! Keep up the great work!
This past month has been filled with exciting learning opportunities, athletic and extracurricular events, and meaningful connections among students and staff. We are proud of all the achievements, both big and small, and look forward to seeing continued growth as we move forward into Spring! (Now if only the weather will start to cooperate!)
Go Spartans!

Principal

TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY STUDY
The District is conducting a Transportation Efficiency Study to help optimize transportation in the District. As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, our goal is to ensure efficiency with overall ride time for students and also streamline arrival and dismissal at our buildings. Parents/guardians need to submit a response for arrival and dismissal for each child. The survey is open Tuesday, April 1st and closes Monday, June 2nd.
The survey is available on WITS. Please note that once a parent/guardian makes their selection, the Transportation Efficiency Study will no longer be available.

SPARTAN SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations to our Senior High (gr. 10-12) All-County participants on a very successful weekend of music-making. Williamsville was well represented with a total of 70 young musicians, composed of Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students from all of our high schools. We are so proud of all of our student musicians and their achievements!
A big thank you and congratulations goes out to all of our music teachers for their hard work in preparing our students for these extraordinary experiences! I would also like to recognize the following teachers for their additional involvement with ECMEA, which helped bring this festival to life for our students:
- Marni Conte (SH) - All-County Band Co-Chair
- Matt Cool (SH) - All-County Band Co-Chair
- Keri Lorenz (HM) - All-County Public Relations & Merchandise
And another big thank you to all of our music chaperones for supporting our students at all of the rehearsals and performances!

Congressional App Challenge
Williamsville North's Oz Abramovich and Joshua Anand, along with Williamsville South's Arhan Patel, won the Congressional App Challenge (NY-26). Their app "Catalyst: Machine Learning for Breast Cancer," uses linear regression and machine learning to tell if a breast cancer cell is malignant or benign. As winners in this annual competition, the trio will be invited to attend #HouseofCode, have their app displayed in the US Capital, and featured on House.gov and CongressionalAppChallenge.us. It is truly an incredible accomplishment and showcases the innovation of our students to be change makers in our world. Please check out the video below for more information.
National Honor Society Inductees
Congratulations to our students who are being inducted into the National Honor Society on March 26.
