Leadership Message
Welcome Back!
Father Jim writes this week on gratitude which inspired me to take a close look at all the things I am grateful for. As I see it gratitude is a choice, an attitude and a blessing. Even though we are going through some tough, uncertain times I choose to say “thank-you” for what we have. I am very grateful for an amazing staff, students, and school community. Walking through the classrooms each day makes me truly appreciate the learning that is happening in each and every classroom. When I talked with the students in the kindergarten class they told me all about their kind hearts. How they chose to be kind to their classmates through their actions. How truly wonderful it was to hear their excitement. Seeing students in other classes working hard at practicing mindfulness. Talking a few minutes to settle themselves and count their blessings and experience gratitude is inspiring.
Gratitude comes in all sizes and can happen within any situation. Having students count their blessings and the blessing of others through acts of kindness, communication, and mindfulness certainly makes me grateful. The best thing about gratitude is that it’s always there, it’s within you. A true attitude of gratitude is experienced daily through our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week full of grateful moments!

Growing Smiles Fundraiser
In the spirit of variety, the fundraising committee is excited to announce our second seasonal fundraiser. This will be our last fundraiser before the spring. This Winter we are selling beautiful, locally-grown holiday themed plants to help raise money to ensure our students have the best year possible. The money raised is used to help cover costs for programs, equipment and resources. Although this year may look a little different, it doesn't change the need to raise funds.
By purchasing a beautiful plant, not only will you be spreading holiday cheer, you will also be supporting an amazing cause right here in our community. Plants are supplied by Devry Greenhouses. The deadline to purchase is Tuesday November 17 to ensure enough time for delivery for the beginning of December.
If you choose to purchase with this fundraiser you will do so directly through the Growing Smiles website (please click on the link below) DO NOT look for this one on Munch a Lunch. Due to COVID restrictions we will not be taking paper order forms, cash or cheques. Thank you for your ongoing support!
