Thank you for checking out our Math S'more! We had lots of info from Bridges to share, so instead of a thousand emails, we've compiled updates here! We'll periodically send math curriculum updates through S'more as they become available this year.

According to our SIP, assessments will be given for PLC purposes each marking period. We will be able to use either grade-level created CFA's OR Bridges unit tests. If your team decides to use unit tests, you'll need to determine which questions focus on the essential standards as determined by your grade level. You will use those questions to determine proficiency. It's up to your team which you decide to use.

Google Jamboard is an awesome Google app that gives you interactive whiteboard capability for both teachers and students! It can be used for lessons, videoing math strategies, or as a shared interactive whiteboard for groups of students. You can add any math manipulatives you can find online too! See video demo below.

In these 60-minute webinars, Bridges curriculum consultants will introduce Unit 2 and the corresponding Tech-Enhanced Activities, Math at Home resources, and Digital Work Places and go over how they are meant to be used in conjunction with the 2020-21 guidance documents. Here are a few ideas for using digital work places in the remote environment. Depending on your kids and the Work Place being played, different applications might be better suited.

If anyone else has something that's worked for you, please let us know!

1. Create a shared Google Slide show with the boards embedded as background. Students may use "scribble" feature to mark boards.

2. Create a Google Jamboard with a picture of the gameboard as the background. Jamboard is easy to write on and pictures of any manipulatives may be added. You would then share the link with pairs of students.

1. Go to Resources.

2. On the right, click "Resources for the Bridges Classroom and Home Learning."

3. Digital Work Places are linked at the top. Just select your grade.
