Attention 8th Grade Basketball Players: The Sperreng Basketball Team will be holding our tryouts for the 2024-2025 season soon! Girls will be on Tuesday, November 19th at 3PM. Boys will be on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 20-21 at 3pm. Both will be held in the large gym. Please use the QR code below or check your email for a link to sign-up (Students MUST do the sign-up. Sperreng will be participating again this year in Toys for Tots. You can bring an unwrapped toy between November 18 and December 1st and drop it in one of the labeled bins in the library or the attendance office! Acceptable toys could include board games, sports equipment, cosmetics, books, backpacks. Items that are not aloud are fake weapons, stuffed animals, or anything opened or used.

Donate your books to the LEAP Book Sale benefitting the LEAP 5th graders journey to Space Camp 2025. Look for bin in main offices of schools listed.

Anyone interested in participating in the Best Buddies Club, our first meeting will be Wednesday November 20th 3-4pm. Meet in the Sperreng Cafe!

Do you have siblings that you love to argue with? Have you ever wondered if a hotdog is a sandwich, or if cereal is a soup? Do you like expressing your opinion? Then join this club just to argue! In our meetings, we will debate if human cloning should be legal, if we should use artificial intelligence and so much more! Whatever you’re looking for, this club’s for you! Our meetings are in room 120 every other Tuesday. To join, scan the QR code.

Picture Re-Takes will be in the Library. Students and Faculty that were not photographed in October and those needing retakes need to report to the library when their grade level is called.

If you are having a picture taken as a RETAKE, please make sure your student returns their package in its entirety, including the package insert sheet, to the photographer on retake day.

As colder weather approaches, now is a good time to remind families and staff how we prepare for potential school closures that can result from snow, ice, or other severe weather events. The district decides to close school based on a number of factors, including student safety, bus transportation, road conditions and wind chill temperature.

When possible, the decision to close school is made by 10 p.m. the night before. However, if the decision cannot be made by 10 p.m., then a decision will be made between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning. If the decision is made to cancel school, all families and staff will receive a phone call, text message and email notification.

The Lindbergh Parent Advisory Council virtually presents “Building Social Connections Through Playdates and Hangouts,” presented by LenEll Kelley, behavior analyst, founder and clinical director of Developing Minds Therapy Services.

Filing for the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education Election will open on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at 8 a.m. and close on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, at 5 p.m. Two positions are available for three-year terms. The election date is April 8, 2025.

Individuals interested in running for the Board of Education are invited to attend a candidate information session on Thursday, Nov. 21, immediately following the 7 p.m. regular Board of Education meeting. This will take place at the District Administration building, 9350 Sappington Road, and is open to any individuals who are interested in running for the board. Questions?
