Tech Tip Tuesday (May 2, 2023)

Quizizz
Mastery Peak is a live game mode on Quizizz where students answer questions as they make their way to the top of a mountain. This game mode combines practice through spaced repetition with gamification to create an engaging learning experience.
In Mastery Peak mode, students aim to achieve an accuracy goal by reattempting incorrectly answered questions. They also get to use power-ups and overcome challenges at regular intervals by playing mini-games.
Also, Quizizz now auto-converts questions to a more interactive question type automatically. Click the wand to quickly change over your multiple-choice questions to something more interactive!
Blooket
You can now create questions with a new question type: Typing Answer!
These questions make students answer a question by typing out an answer. You're able to configure this question type to accept multiple answers that either exactly match or contain the student's answer.
Typing Answer questions can be used in any set along with the classic Multiple Choice question type. When you're editing a question, you'll now see a button at the top to change that question's type!
Gimkit
Gimkit Creative is a massive sandbox editor where you can make 2D maps and game modes the way you want and will be available to everybody to use.
Build your own maps. Your own game modes. Your own worlds. If you can think it, you can build it.
It's not released yet, but it will hopefully be out soon!
Kahoot
Promote content correctness as students progress toward a mission, accumulating answers and points along the way.
The new Kahoot! Game Modes support classroom engagement through:
- Presenting information through a variety of media formats keeps content fresh! Students receive repeated exposure to concepts to reinforce skills and content.
- Embedding Brain Breaks as opportunities for students to refresh throughout learning and keep content delivery powerful and engaging.
- Celebrate student progress with reporting tools that reward accuracy over speed and include Game Modes with player, team, or computer competitors.
