FUTURE CHEF CHALLENGE
Welcome to the 2nd annual FUTURE CHEF KICKOFF. It’s time again to show off the creative cooking talents of our elementary school students in first through fifth grades.
The idea behind this event is to help educate the kids about HEALTHY EATING HABITS. Too often, we hear about kids not making the right choices in terms of their eating habits. Plus, eating healthy should be fun!
We want students to submit recipes to COMPLETE THE PLATE WITH THEIR FAVORITE 10–20-minute APPETIZER DISH! Judging will be based on the following criteria: • Originality • Kid Friendly • Ease of Preparation • Healthy Attributes • Plate Presentation • Taste • Student Chef Presentation to Judges
Access the event flyer for all of the information! The deadline to submit your recipe is Friday, January 31st!
LUNCH on FRIDAYS
Parents, grandparents, and family members are allowed to eat with the students on Fridays only. Below are the lunch times for each teacher. Please make sure you arrive early with your ID in order to sign in to the building. Adult lunches are $5.50 and we are only able to accept cash.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL INFORMATION
Doors Open and Breakfast:
Our doors open at 7 am and the Tardy Bell rings at 7:45 am.
Breakfast is served everyday starting at 7:00 am.
There will be plenty of staff on hand to help your child get to class.
Kindergarten parents, remember we are operating on a staggered start. Monday and Tuesday are for B group students only. All K students will attend starting Wednesday, August 14th.
For Arrival:
If your student rides the bus, please check the myRide app to know when the bus will be at your bus stop.
If you are dropping your student off by car, please use the right lane only. We will have staff and safety patrol students opening doors and helping your student out of the car with umbrellas in their hands. If you would like to walk your child in on the first day, please use the left lane and pull into our parking lot.
For Dismissal:
We dismiss at 2:10 pm.
If your student rides the bus, please check the myRide app for bus stop information.
For car riders, we will use both lanes. Please make sure the car rider tag is displayed in your windshield. A staff member will be calling names and we will deliver your child to your car. If your child needs to enter the car on the right hand side, please pull in the right lane. If your child needs to enter your car on the left side, please pull into the left lane. Please do not start parking in the left lane until 2:00 pm. This allows for flow of traffic in case of emergencies.
This first few days day will take some time to teach our new students the procedures and to make sure all students have been accounted for. We appreciate your patience.
