On January 29-30th students in AP World History (with Ms. Cassens) and Culinary (with Ms. Benedict) hosted a Cookbook Launch Party which celebrated foods from around the world and the various forces in history that made those recipes possible! Our 2025 Globalization Cookbook features over 50 unique recipes chosen by our students that highlight beloved traditional foods from their culture as well as new foods they would be excited to try in the future. The students enrolled in the Culinary classes selected 5 of these recipes to make in their kitchen to test them out modeling the real-life process done while writing a cookbook. The food they made was absolutely delicious! We would love for the Freedom High School community to have an opportunity to try out these delicious recipes as well. The PAC serves both a representative and advisory function to assist and support our school Principal and Leadership Team (as outline in PWCS Regulation 230.01-1) by:

• Developing the school plan to include objectives, strategies, and action plans.
• Aligning the school plan and action plans with the division Strategic Plan;
• Aligning the school budget with the school plan;
• Reviewing the alignment of the school professional development plan with the school plan;
• Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the plan; and
• Assuming other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the principal and school.

• Early dismissals are only permitted prior to 1:30 pm. After that time, you will have to wait for normal dismissal times/procedures. This helps ensure a safe and smooth dismissal for all.
