It’s a great week to be intentional about your kindness efforts! This is National Kindness Week so make the extra effort to show someone you care. Also, we are preparing for Parent Conference Day on February 17th. We understand that all schedules are different and therefore Oak Springs provides a conference window from February 10-21st. Please look for a message from your child’s teacher about conference scheduling.
This week we celebrate our 4th and 5th grade students as they participate in the ACC Eastview’s Annual Black History Program.
Also, 3rd- 5th grade students will take the STAAR Interim for Reading (11th) and Math (14th) this week.
17th is a student holiday and there is no school.
Let’s get ready to start our #DolphinStrong week.

Random Acts of Kindness Week (RAK Week) is an annual celebration of kindness that spans Sunday to Saturday and always includes Valentine’s Day on February 14. This connection to Valentine’s Day emphasizes love, compassion, and the spirit of kindness. The week, encourages schools, workplaces, and communities to spread kindness through thoughtful gestures and meaningful actions.
Our Dolphins will be celebrating kindness this week with a "top secret classroom match." Every classroom will be matched with another classroom and the challenge is to complete acts of kindness for each other without them finding out. Matches will be revealed on Friday, February 14th! We hope our Dolphin have fun spreading kindness and filling others’ buckets!

La Semana de Actos de Bondad al Azar (RAK Week) es una celebración anual de la bondad que se extiende de domingo a sábado y siempre incluye el Día de San Valentín el 14 de febrero. Esta conexión con el Día de San Valentín enfatiza el amor, la compasión y el espíritu de bondad. La semana alienta a las escuelas, lugares de trabajo y comunidades a difundir la bondad a través de gestos considerados y acciones significativas.
Nuestros Dolphins celebrarán la bondad esta semana con un "emparejamiento de aulas ultrasecreto". Central Texas Food Bank - Social Services
The Central Texas Food Bank’s social services team is continuing to assist clients with applying for SNAP (along with Medicaid, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal). We offer help with applications remotely and on-site. Our offices are located at 6500 Metropolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78744.
For the safety of our staff and the community we serve, we have implemented social distancing models and can see a limited number of clients at one time on-site at the Food Bank. To get help with applications on-site, please call our hotline to make an appointment first at 855-366-3401.
