A Message from Ms. Peterson
Hello MCP3 Families!
We are excited to meet with you this week for Q2 Parent Teacher Conferences. Thank you for taking the time to sign up. We are stronger together and taking time to discuss your child's progress is important for their success at school. I am bummed that I won't be here for Q2 conferences, unfortunately I have to have a tooth extracted! UGH!! I would much rather be seeing your and your scholar's smiling faces, I know the conferences will be a success. Ms. Perine will be available and our MCP3 teachers are amazing. Aftercare on Thursday will be in the North Community Room.
Last Friday, MCP3 had an assembly. I taught the scholar a fun song and dance called "Get Loose, get funky!" Ask your scholar about it and see if they remember. :-)
Here are some important reminders and updates:
- Mandatory Q2 Parent Teacher Conferences- 1/30 & 1/31- BE SURE TO SIGN UP NOW!

All Parent Teacher Conferences will be in person. Students are encouraged to attend the report card conferences.
Students will be withheld from class if their parent/guardian does not attend a scheduled conference. (MCP Family Handbook)

Theme #5: Favorite Tales and Rhymes
Week 4- "Jack" Rhymes
Research indicates that nursery rhymes are greatly beneficial as children develop early literacy skills. They experience unusual vocabulary (fetch, crown), a variety of sounds (onomatopoeia, alliteration, rhyme) and a sense of story (beginning, middle, and end). Nursery rhymes are short, easy to repeat and children learn them quickly. This week children will be immersed in nursery rhymes.

rhyme, nursery rhymes, handsome, stored, sunrise, teased, wise
