CIS Weekly Updates

HAPPY VETERANS DAY! Today was our Veterans Day Celebration. We had almost 100 veterans in attendance! Thank you to all who helped make this a great event. Next week (November 18-22) is our Salvation Army Fund Drive and Be Kind Wadsworth Spirit Week. We are trying to raise $5,000. The money will go directly to the Salvation Army so they can purchase food for local families. Students are able to bring in cash or check donations.

Our school pictures arrived today and will go home soon. Picture retake day is on Friday, November 22nd. Please see below for more information.

Next week (November 18-22) we will have a spirit week for Be Kind Wadsworth. This will also coincide with our Fund Drive. Our goal for the fund drive will be to raise $5,000 for the Salvation Army. We will offer prizes for the classes who collect the most money. More information will be shared with students later on this week.

This Wednesday is our 1st pizza and pages book club. Students who signed up, will stay after school on Wednesday from 3:30-4:15.

Students will come down to the cafeteria at 3:30 and have a piece of pizza (or other snack if you would like to pack something different for your student). After they have a snack, students will head to a classroom for a book talk with one of our Wadsworth Public Librarians.

Please plan to pick your student up at 4:15.

All the funds raised from the store go right back into helping students, their families, and other community members in need, as well as promoting PBIS and kindness throughout the community. The link is below.

Pictures just arrived and will be going home with students this week. After viewing the original picture, If you want your student to have his or her picture retaken, they are to bring the original picture back to school with them on Friday, Nov 22 and will turn them in to Ripcho Photography for a retake. If you missed ordering photos in September or your student was absent, you can order now and they can have their picture taken. Click on the information below to order.

Our attendance clerk, Mrs. Long, is the contact person for calling off your student and any change of dismissal plans throughout the day. Please call the Attendance Line to reach her and leave a message. The phone number to her desk is 330-335-1481. We recommend you let the attendance desk/teacher know when your student will be absent, leaving early, or arriving late. Letting us know when your child will leave early allows us to be prepared for when you arrive. We ask that all end-of-the-day dismissal plans be made by 2:45 p.m. Thank you for your efforts!
