The Holidays are here! Let's spoil our busy teachers with Holiday treats to take home to their family and friends!

We need at least 110 dozen homemade or store-bought cookies and/or treats. Yes, that is 1,320 treats. Please do not individually wrap the treats or put them in bundles. The teachers will pick from the assortment and make their own bundles. Please label your treats with the treat type.

Treats should be delivered to the school's front office on Monday, December 19th. There will be carts in the foyer for drop-off as early as 7:15 am. Sign up here!

Our orchestra students are top-notch and it's no surprise that several made All-Region Orchestra! Congrats to all of these musicians and their directors, Mr. Hosein and Mr. Walters, for their fantastic achievements and hard work. Learn more: HERE

The week of December 19th -22nd will be full 8-period days the entire week. There will be NO BLOCK DAYS this week.

On December 22nd, Get ready for the return of our Inflatable Field Day. Students will attend during their athletics or PE class. If a student does not have athletics or PE, they will attend during their social studies class.

You might wonder how can I best support my student in middle school. Cobb has the answer. We offer a series of meetings through ZOOM titled Lunch and Learns. These zoom meetings give insight into topics specific to our Cobb parents. Plus all of this learning can be done anywhere from your computer or phone. We have 2 more weeks until the much-anticipated Winter Break. In order to keep us healthy to enjoy our time off, I ask all of our families to work together as a community.

• If your child is not feeling well in the morning PLEASE assess them AT HOME, including taking their temperature. If they are anywhere near 100° please consider keeping them home.
• If your child does run a fever over 100° and you give them fever-reducing medication (Tylenol, Advil, Motrin), you will need to stop the medication when you think they are better, wait a FULL 24 hours off medication to make sure the fever does not return before sending them to school.
• Please do NOT give your child a fever-reducing medication and send them to school. There is no test, no concert, and no game important enough to justify exposing the rest of the staff and students to a contagious illness.

• According to FISD Policy, all medication needs to be checked into and administered from the clinic. Cough drops were stopped at the beginning of the pandemic and have not been allowed back in at this time.

Please help us in this matter. We all want to make it to break and have a fun break, not deal with illnesses. Remember communication is also very important. If your child is diagnosed with an identifiable illness (flu, strep, covid), please let us know so we understand what is affecting our community.
