The Eagle Edition
Edison Elementary ~ March 17, 2024
Note from the Principals
It's time to order 2023-2024 yearbooks! The cost of a school yearbook is $13.00 this year. Forms will go home this week, but yearbooks can also be purchased online at www.barksdalephoto.com using the access code: 0089817YB
We would like to thank parents who attended Spring Conferences last week. Also, we have enjoyed seeing many of you at our Buddy Breakfasts - Kindergarten and 5th Grade are coming up this week! The home-school connection is invaluable, and we truly appreciate your partnership. Student success is our common priority!
As we attempt to sneak out of winter and embrace spring, many of us are blowing our noses! Donations of soft kleenex are always appreciated! We will continue to reinforce hand washing & sanitizing as much as possible to prevent the spread of germs.
It is extremely important that our car line runs as safely and smoothly as possible. In addition, we are a school community, and we would like the car line to be a friendly place as well! Modeling kindness, turn taking, and patience while dropping off and picking up students is appreciated!
We hope you and your family have a wonderful Spring Break! Classes resume on Tuesday, April 2nd. Please remember there are no classes on Monday, April 8th. We hope you can safely experience the solar eclipse with your family 😎!

What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students' behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. When implemented with fidelity, PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate (www.pbis.org).
Edison's PBIS Motto is SOAR: Safe, Take Ownership, have a Growth Attitude and be Respectful and Responsible.
Please take a moment to fill out this PBIS Parent Survey and read about some of our PBIS resources!
