Dear Rabbit Creek Families,

This year has started on a great note! The beginning of a new school year allows for a fresh start. It is a perfect time to set goals with your children. Some ideas might include; making new friends, improving grades, having good attendance, or becoming more helpful. Having conversations now and throughout the year will help motivate students to strive for greatness.

Rabbit Creek will be participating in our Fall diagnostic testing. Our Kindergarteners through 3rd graders will be testing Tuesday, September 3rd and Wednesday, September 4th with our mClass assessments. Our 3rd through 5th graders will be taking the Math and Reading MAP Growth assessments on September 4th and Thursday, September 5th. We encourage students to try their best so we know how to best support their academic pathways. Here is an article that shares someways families can help support their students during the testing season.

This year, our school will also use a universal social-emotional-behavior screener during our assessment Fall (9/18/24), Winter (12/4/24), and Spring (5/16). It's called the Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener (SAEBRS). This screener helps teachers find needed classroom structures and identify students who might benefit from extra support. Classroom teachers will rate students outside of learning time so no instructional time is lost. Please contact me with any questions.
