CTE NEWS
We had our school-wide CHARGE kick-off assembly. A PA District Attorney General's Office guest speaker discussed how to use technology safely with our K-3 students. CTE received recognition in Tiers 1 and 2 for our Positive Behavior Support System.
CVIS NEWS
CVIS fourth graders enjoyed their fall field trip to Codorus State Park! They rotated through stations that aligned with the new STEEL standards and were run by Advancing Science educators from Gettysburg College and Codorus State Park rangers. Students investigated the American Chestnut tree, looked for evidence of erosion, learned how to read topographic maps, and discussed the importance of conservation/Leave No Trace. It was a fun, educational trip that took learning outside of the CVIS walls!
CVIS students will be participating in the fall Skating Parties over the next month at Magic Elm. 4th Grade will skate on October 3rd. 5th Grade will skate on October 10th and 6th grade on October 17th. Thank you PTO! Our fourth graders took their field trip to Codorus State Park in Hanover last month. In October, 5th grade students will be going on their field trip to Gettysburg.
