Principal's Post
Dear Laker Families,
As we enter the spring season, Lake Oswego schools are once again conducting the YouthTruth survey to gather valuable insights aimed at enhancing our learning community. We understand that your time is precious, but your input is invaluable. Therefore, we kindly request that you take 15 minutes to complete the Lake Oswego High School parent survey before March 22.
The YouthTruth surveys are now open and will remain accessible until midnight on March 22. Each survey link is specific to your child's school, so please ensure you complete a survey for each school your student(s) attends. Meanwhile, students will complete their surveys during school hours, and staff will receive a separate survey via email.

It's Time for 11th Graders to Forecast
Attention Current 11th graders:
ONLINE FORECASTING CLOSES SUNDAY MARCH 3rd
Counselors will be meeting one-on-one with 11th graders to review their course selections March 5-8th during ACW/AP US History.
In preparation for forecasting, we encourage students to check out the updated curriculum guide on our school website. You will find information about graduation requirements, AP courses, four-year college requirements, course descriptions, course prerequisites, and much more.
Forecasting materials will include a worksheet that can be used to help you choose the correct amount of courses BEFORE you make your course selections online in StudentVue. Students will not be able to change or apply for classes in the fall, so it is very important that you make appropriate choices and apply for the desired classes in the spring.
Please review the Forecasting Tips below for more important details to the forecasting process.

Oregon DMV Knowledge Test Now Online!
The following information from Oregon Department of Transportation is intended for all Oregon high schools.
Spring break is a great time for students preparing to get their driver permit to take their Oregon DMV knowledge test online. Here's how students take advantage of this opportunity.
- Students need a laptop or a computer with a webcam, keyboard, mouse, and reliable internet.
- Students who are under 18 will need someone 21 or older to supervise them taking the test.
- After students pass the knowledge test online, they will need to go to their local DMV office with their identity documents to have their card issued; they do not need to schedule an appointment.
Why Take the Test Online?
Testing online allows customers the chance to know that they have passed their exam before coming into the DMV office and the option to test in a familiar and comfortable environment without the pressure of being in an office. This can save people multiple trips into the office if they do not pass the first time.

WAYS TO REPORT INCIDENTS RELATED TO BIAS, RACISM OR HARASSMENT IN LOSD
Parents-guardians who have concerns about a student’s well-being are encouraged to reach out to their principal, and to maintain strong lines of communication and partnership between students, families, staff, and other resources. SafeOregon is also an effective way to report a tip regarding safety threats or potential acts of violence to our students or schools. Students should also be aware that intentionally providing a false report is a serious offense. https://www.safeoregon.com/
