Preparing to Return: Hybrid Option
Jefferson County Junior High School
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
The faculty and staff at JCJHS are pleased to say we had a successful week of testing in-person. We would like to acknowledge our wonderful scholars in assisting us in making this a reality. The students showed maturity as they kept their masks on, practiced social distancing, and listened attentivtely as they followed directions. We would also like to thank you for instilling the importance of following the rules as we continue to stay safe during COVID-19. Below you will find more information on what's upcoming at the Jr. High!
Good luck and be well,
LeTina Guice

2nd 9wks:
The 2nd 9wks has begun. Please make sure that your child attends virtual sessions daily and hybrid students will begin entering into the building on Monday, October 19, 2020. Contact your child's teacher if you need clarity in regards to the mode of learning or clarity in regards to possible schedule changes.
Schedule changes:
Some students may have schedule changes due to the transition to hybrid and virtual. Students have received their revised schedules via email from their teachers. We are expecting a higher attendance rate due to students having virtual needs and hybrid students needs being met. The mode of learning is based on data from the beginning of the year registration and district surveys that were completed prior to October 2. We will review the mode of learning once the district approves the new date for review.
Assessments
Weekly Assessments and Assignments
Teacher-made Weekly Quiz/Assessment:
Students at this time should be familiar with Canvas and Clever. Assignments will be posted by the teacher utilizing the Canvas platform. The assignments will be graded and students will have the opportunity to discuss information via email or student-teacher conferences. Clever is the platform where students will have the opportunity to complete district level assessments.I-Ready:
Students will be monitored and receive Tiger Bucks for completion of assignments. It is important for students to utilize the designated time in the schedule to complete i-ready sessions for enrichment or remediation. Students can access their I-Ready portal through the Clever platform.
