CROSS COUNTRY TEAM - MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to our West Middle School Cross Country Team! They earned the title of Middle School Champions this past Tuesday at our Middle School Meet at Cass Benton. Students did great on a challenging course. Thank you to our teachers/coaches, Mr. Fisher, Ms. Hedge, Mr. Trzeciak, and Mr. Wells, for their role in making this such a successful season.
LIBRARY UPDATE
Library Hours: We are excited to announce that the library is officially open! Students can visit before school, after school, and during the school day with a pass. We invite all students to take advantage of this opportunity to explore our resources, work on projects, or simply enjoy a good book.
New Books Available: Our shelves have been updated with new titles across various genres. Whether you are interested in fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, or any other type, there is something new for everyone to discover!
USA HOCKEY ALL-SCHOOL FIELD TRIP ON DECEMBER 11TH
We are so excited to be able to offer this field trip opportunity to students again this year. Field trip permission slip & information sheet for our all-school USA Hockey event will go home in November. This trip is for grades 6-8. If the copy does not make it home, it's linked below and also on the picture. The cost of the field trip is $20 and covers transportation to and from the game, a boxed lunch, and admission to the game. The boxed lunch contains 1 slice of cheese pizza, a bag of chips, a small candy, and bottle of water. The preferred payment is by check made out to PCCS but the exact amount in cash is also accepted.
Please have your student turn in the permission slip & money to their prime-time teacher by Monday, November 25th.
The NTDP U18 team will take on the Muskegon. It's a "kids day game" so there will be a lot of extra activities in addition to the game. The USA Hockey Pro Shop and Concession stands will also be open throughout the game.
Last year, four of the five middle schools attended this event. There will be administrators and staff from all the schools, but we are still looking for some additional chaperones. Please mark the bottom of the permission slip if you are interested in chaperoning (approx. 5 parents/grade) and we will email those selected to complete the iChat information. We will not be able to accommodate everyone who wants to chaperone. Please be sure to write your email address on the permission slip if you are interested. Thanks so much!
TUTORING STARTS AFTER-SCHOOL ON TUESDAY, 10/22

DISTRICT NEWS
RENEWAL OF THE WAYNE COUNTY REGIONAL ENHANCEMENT MILLAGE
The millage provides critical funding for career technical education, special education, reducing class sizes, and improving school safety in Wayne County. It ensures that 100% of the funds are distributed equitably among all 33 school districts and over 90 public school academies.
If approved, the millage renewal will generate approximately $360 per student for every district and eligible public school academy in Wayne County, including P-CCS. For a homeowner with a property valued at $100,000, this millage will continue to cost around $8 per month. This is a renewal, not a new tax, so Wayne County residents can continue supporting their schools without any tax increase.
Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. If you are in line by 8 p.m., you have the right to vote. For more information, please click on on the link below.

Each P-CCS level has different menu offerings based on the age and taste preferences of its students. OCTOBER IS PRINCIPAL APPRECIATION MONTH
October is Principal Appreciation Month, and P-CCS would like to recognize the fine work of our great principals. These building leaders usually come to school before everyone arrives and leave well after students and staff leave. They are charged with leading a large group of teachers and support staff, making sure that students are learning and parents are informed. This is a huge job, but our principals do it all effectively and efficiently with a smile. We encourage you to join us by thanking all of our principals this month
