Happy Staff Appreciation Week! I am so lucky to lead the best staff in Jeffco. Thank you to everyone that contributed to help recognize staff. Thank you to PTA for organizing a gift card drive and for the activities at the end of February. We are blessed to work in our Sierra community and truly appreciate everything you do to support each other, students, and staff. THANK YOU!!!

August 22 and 25- Modified Contact day (families will sign up for 2-hour testing slots, 8:00-10:00 or 12:00-2:00; more info and sign up to come later)

Lost and Found
The Lost and Found still has an abundance of items that need to be claimed. Please come see if any of these items could belong to your child. The lost and found racks are located in the cafeteria and accessible during school hours.
Any items not claimed by the end of day Friday, May 23rd, will be collected and donated.
Gifted and Talented Families, if your child has an ALP for math, they most likely accessed BEAST Academy this school year. Jeffco's GT department shared this letter which outlines accessibility through August 13, 2025. You can also view summer enrichment opportunities linked here.
Calling all gardeners! Support the Sierra Library and Technology fund!
We are partnering with a local garden center, Malara Gardens, to support our library and technology budget. When you shop at Malara Gardens during the week of May 12 -18, mention Sierra at the cash register and our library will receive 10% of your purchase! Jeffco Summer Reading Challenge
This week in library, students learned about the Summer Challenge put on by the Jeffco Public Library. Anyone can sign up (including you!) and earn prizes by reading and completing activities throughout the summer. When you register, be sure to put Sierra as your child's school. If we have more finishers this summer than last summer, we'll be entered into a drawing to win $800 for our library! Plus, it's a great way to keep kids reading and busy (for free!) throughout the summer. Visit the Jeffco Public Library online or in person to sign up!

End of Year MAP assessment data will be available in Student Insights after the testing window closes next Friday, May 16th. Student Insights is an online portal that is relatively new to Jeffco and is the place to go for accessing student assessment results.
Additionally, we will send this information as printed MAP Family Reports reflecting the End of Year assessment data on Friday, May 23rd. Way to work hard and show what you know, Sabertooths!
