Reminders
- Please send your child to school with only water in their water bottles. No juice or flavoring.
- It gets cold in many areas of the building and you may want to send a jacket or sweater.
- We have snack time at 9:00, You are welcome to send a healthy snack! Please no candy or sweets.
- Your child should read for 20 minutes every night and write the title of the book they read, and for how long, in their agendas.

Chaperone and Volunteer
If you would like to volunteer during this academic year, please be proactive in submitting a volunteer application. Allow up to four weeks for processing, including the required background check. Your approved status is then valid for four years.
3rd Grade Information
Homework
Read 20 minutes every night. Record book and minutes in agenda.
Agenda and Take Home Folder
Return signed agenda and empty take home folder daily.
Snack and Allergies
Optional daily snack time in the morning. Snacks should be healthy, quick and easy to eat and clean up. Snacks should be peanut and tree nut free.
Bring a water bottle daily. Water only in water bottles please.
Transportation Changes & Communication
Transportation changes can be notes sent in your child’s folder, texted via Talking Points, or emailed to your child’s teacher and wellington.transportation@fayette.kyschools.us .
All changes should be received by 1:00pm.

Volunteer Information
If you wish to chaperone any field trips this school year, you must be an approved volunteer. FCPS Volunteer Application
3rd Grade Assessments
Unit Assessments will be given at the end of each reading, math, science, and social studies unit. These assessments will be given digitally.
CoGat and Iowa testing will take place in October or November. These assessments serve to qualify your student for formal Gifted/Talented Instruction that begins in 4th grade.
KSA testing will take place in May. This is the end of the year state testing, formerly known as KPREP.
