News for December 5, 2024
Hello Harambee Families -
Welcome back from fall intersession! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break, filled with good memories and time to recharge. As we settle back into our school routines, we’re excited for all the learning, growth, and fun ahead.
The cold air and snow remind us that winter is here. At Harambee, we believe in the importance of outdoor play to keep students active and engaged. Unless the air temperature is below 0, we will continue to have outdoor recess every day.
To make sure our students are comfortable and safe during recess, we kindly ask families to send their children to school dressed appropriately for the season. This includes:
- Warm coats
- Hats or earmuffs
- Gloves or mittens
- Boots and snow pants
If you need assistance with winter clothing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our berit engstrom, our school social worker, at berit.engstrom@isd623.org.
We’re thrilled to be back and look forward to an amazing three weeks of learning and growth before winter break. Thank you for partnering with us to make this school year a great one for your child!
Same team,
Principal Nathan
