LES Students who participate in the Anchored 4 Life are soliciting donations for a community outreach project. The Pet Supply drive runs from Monday - Friday, May 6th - 10th.

L.E.S Has Talent
The Leonardtown Student Council Association (SCA) is proud to present “Leonardtown Elementary School Has Talent!” A virtual talent show for all students and their families to participate in and enjoy!
- Submit a video (60 seconds or less) by May 17th to Ms. Farrell (nefarrell@smcps.org)
- Submissions will be reviewed, uploaded and available for viewing from June 3rd - 7th.
Pre-K Parent and Family Updates
- May 31: PK Field Day: 9:30 - 11:15 am
- June 6: PK Parent Engagement Hour: 11:00 - 12:00
June 6th is also a 2-hour early dismissal for ALL students
and the FINAL DAY for all SMCPS Pre-K classes.
Summer Meals
All St. Mary's County Public School students are invited to participate in a FREE summer meals program. RSVP for meal pick-up throughout the summer using THIS FORM.
These meal bags will include five breakfasts, five lunches, a half-gallon of white milk, and two cartons of chocolate milk for each child.
Meal pickups will be on Mondays and we are offering two pickup times for your convenience.
11 am - 1pm or 4pm - 6pm. The schools offering pickup are:
- Chopticon HS
- Leonardtown HS
- Oakville ES
- Spring Ridge MS
Parents/Caregivers must either have signed up ahead of time using this form with their children's information or have the children in-person for meal pickup.

Laptops, Charges, and Library Books
End of Year Highlights
- Library book check-out will end May 17th.
- Books that are not returned by May 24th will be marked lost, and a fine for the replacement of the book will be assessed. Once the book is returned, the fine is automatically cleared.
- Laptops AND chargers will be sent home with students.
- 5th Grade students are expected to take their devices to their designated SMCPS middle school.
- If you are not returning to an SMCPS public school, please make sure your child's teacher is aware so that the laptop and charger can be returned and taken off the child's account.
- Any fines for lost library books or technology should be paid before the last day of school. You can pay any fines online though My School Bucks or by sending cash or a check to school.

Mental Health & Wellness
Summer Sports Academies
SMCPS and SMC Recreation & Parks have partnered to offer the new Summer Sports Academies. Campers will be instructed by area high school coaches. Camps are held Monday - Thursday. Click below for more information. Registration begins March 1st. Don't miss this opportunity.
