Principal Message: November Appreciation and Gratitude
As we head into the holiday season, I reflect and am reminded how much I appreciate the opportunity to serve as the principal of Ivy Stockwell. It warms my heart each day I enter the building and see our students. School is one of my favorite places to be; thank you for sending your child to school with us.
I am thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn โ they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here.
I am thankful for the support of the families in creating an outstanding partnership.
I am thankful for the Ivy staff who have the best interests of our students at heart.
I am also thankful for our volunteers who enthusiastically contribute so much to our school.
I see dedicated and tireless individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. They make a difference, and the children, in their own individual ways, benefit from those efforts.
Wishing all of you and your families a very nice Thanksgiving break!
Truly,
Ms. Anne Marie
COUNSELING CORNER
RECOGNIZE STAFF WITH NOTES OF GRATITUDE
We're excited to kick off our "notes of gratitude" project to recognize our wonderful staff here at Ivy. We encourage you and/or your student to complete note(s) of gratitude from now until December 20th for any staff members. Students may drop their notes off at the front desk or you may submit your note(s) of gratitude here. By doing so your family and the staff member you recognize will both be entered into a drawing to win a pie. Pies will be distributed on December 20th. Thank you for spreading kindness this season!
Holiday Giving Tradition at Ivy
As the holidays approach, we want to make sure all our families have the resources they need. It is an Ivy Stockwell 5th grade tradition that we support families in our community who need assistance during this season.
If your family would like support with gifts for children this year, please complete this form by Wednesday, December 11th. This information is kept confidential. We never share the names of children we buy for โ only gender, age, sizes, and ideas for gifts. formulario en espaรฑol
If your family would be interested in helping with financial support, please send cash or a check made payable to Anne Marie Sanchez to the front office by Wednesday, December 11th. (The front office cannot give us cash for checks made payable to Ivy Stockwell.) Every dollar helps as we are hoping to raise $100 per child this year. On Saturday, December 14th, Ivy staff and 5th grade students/families will be shopping for gifts.
Thank you all for supporting each other within our Ivy Community! If you have further questions, please contact Jessica Hinterberg at 970-613-6108 or via email at Jessica.Hinterberg@tsd.org.
Barnes and Noble Book Fair
'Tis the Season for reading and gift giving! Our Barnes and Noble Bookfair will be on Saturday, December 7th at the Promenade Shops at Centerra in Loveland! A portion of your purchases at the store will go towards more books for the library and kids. Come join us for story times with teachers and the Stallions Sing Club performance at 2pm!
Thank you for your support and we hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Ms. Courtney

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. CONTEST
Weโre excited to announce the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration! This yearโs theme, โA More Excellent Way, of Love,โ honors Dr. Kingโs belief in justice, unity, and kindness. We invite Pre-K to 12th-grade students to participate in our art, writing, and (new) music contest, expressing their vision for a world filled with fairness and compassion.
Submit your entries by December 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be recognized at the Loveland MLK Community Celebration on January 16, 2025, where their work will be featured. For any questions, please contact Andrew Dutch (andrew.dutch@tsd.org). Letโs honor Dr. Kingโs legacy together through creativity!
WHEN DO STUDENTS STAY INSIDE?
We know that getting fresh air and having an opportunity to play outside is so beneficial for students. When the temperature feels like it is below 15 degrees or when students will get uncomfortably wet, students will come inside before school starting at 7:40am or will have inside recess.
Thank you for making sure your child is dressed for outdoor recess. It helps for them to have a hat, mittens/gloves and a winter jacket to help them stay warm.
