1st Grade Spanish Class Update
2/12/17
Dear First Grade Parents,
In the first part of the third nine weeks, we have continued to work on counting from 1- 50, responding to basic questions, and identifying days and months of the year. We have also begun to study Spanish family words including pets. Students have drawn and labeled their families in class. They will introduce their families in Spanish to me in the next week. Although communication has been our central focus, we have also connected to science by examining the Glyptodon, an ancient animal who lived over 10,000 years ago in Central and South America. We now know him as the armadillo who, surprisingly, now resides in Tennessee. The subject of the Glyptodon has been a class favorite. Thank you for your support at home,
Sra. Poole
