In early 2024, The Family Resource Center of Wickliffe received a grant through the Ohio Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives to present a program throughout the Northeast Ohio area geared toward combating food insecurity.

In February 2024, we launched "Dine & Discover," a series that took place at local churches throughout Lake County, in which participants learned how to prepare a budget-friendly nutritious meal, learned about local food resources, and built community with one another!

Each event included:

- Free meal

- Cooking demonstration by a local guest chef

- Healthy recipes to take home

- Presentation from a Registered Dietitian

- Each household will get free groceries to recreate the meal at home

- Grocery budgeting tips and tricks

- and more!

We had a wonderful time at the 4th Annual Lake County Pride event yesterday alongside many other community partners! We love getting to connect with the community and spread the word about all of the resources that we offer!

Thank you to the participants of the 2024 Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing who collected school supplies on our behalf which will later be distributed at our 4th Annual Back-to-School Bash!

Thank you Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library for taking up a collection on our behalf, as part of United Way of Lake County's Day of Caring campaign! During the month of June, all Willoughby-Eastlake Library locations will be collecting donations for Wickliffe Family Resource Center. All items collected will be distributed to families and community members in need.

Items requested include: Diapers, Baby Wipes, Toilet Paper, Deodorant, Shaving Cream, Shampoo, Body Wash, Laundry Detergent, New Socks/Underwear, and Other Toiletry Items.

We are incredibly grateful to United Way of Lake County for the generous donation of food for our pantry here at The FRC of Wickliffe through our WicKloset program! #UnitedAgainstHunger

We have two brand new medical exam rooms and can serve both students AND community members of all ages!

The WicKloset is a student-led organization dedicated to providing local families with easy access to non-perishable food items, clothing, toiletries, and more. We are accepting any items from the following list. Donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm at the Family Resource Center of Wickliffe.
