Welcome:
CEO Note
We’re starting the new year off by getting back to basics.
First and foremost, books! The use of e-books is up 75% over previous years, and even the checkout of physical books is up 7%. So if you’ve got a new year’s resolution to read more books this year, you’re in good hands and in good company. (Our top book borrower in 2023 checked out over 1,000 books during the course of the year. #goals)
We’re starting a new class series too called Get It Together. Our first two events will happen in
January—an evening to develop and create a vision board, and an evening to learn all about budgeting with our friends from the Northern Colorado Credit Union. Spots are limited and our classes have been filling up fast, so be sure to check out all our offerings below and give us a call to secure your spot.
Join us for a class or an event, or join us to check out some books to get through those long winter
nights. Happy New Year, everyone!
Amie P.
Library CEO

Foothills Audubon Bird Club Featuring Blake Welch
Artist and Texas native, Blake Welch, moved to Boulder County at the age of 7. His art background includes book design and his own design and advertising agency, Welch Creative Group, Inc., serving local and national hospitals, health care agencies, and large corporations, including IMB. He is currently the Program Director for the Multimedia and Graphic Design department at the Boulder County campus of Front Range Community College in Longmont.
Blake's love of nature began at an early age. In this program for the Foothills Audubon Bird Club, he will share some of his paintings that are testament to that love. His large canvases of birds are as stunning as they are realistic.
