Celebrate our ALA Euclid Counselor
Join us this week in celebrating Ms. Natalie for Counselor Appreciation Week as we show our gratitude for her dedication, support and impact on our students and school community!
3rd Grade Gators Growing up Events
Our Gators are growing up! We are excited to invite our 3rd grade students to participate in our Gators Growing up Saturday event on Saturday, April 5th. This is an opportunity for our 3rd graders to explore their future 4th grade space while engaging in activities with our teachers from the ALA Euclid and ALA Tech campus. More information can be found on our Growing Gators flyer, including the link to sign up for this event.
We will have a Parent Information Session on April 24th from 6:00-6:30 pm. This will be an opportunity for our parents to see the ALA Tech campus and meet our 4th grade teachers.
Our 3rd grade students will also have a shadow day opportunity in May to experience the campus firsthand as well as our end of the year Chomp & Cheer celebration.
Habitat Helpers PBL
Our Habitat Helpers PBL is in full force! As part of this unit our Kinder- 3 Grade students will be visiting Hardberger Park. This field trip will include a hike, activity, and lunch. Please check which day your child’s village will attend and sign up to attend in app garden, if you will join us! Additionally please save the date for our exhibition coming up on Wednesday March 5th during the school day!

Class Picture Day
Our picture day is scheduled for this Thursday and may be purchased with cash the day of the pictures using the envelopes that were sent home last week or at mylifetouch.com using the code EVT74KBZD. This year, our class picture day falls on our 100th Day of School!
Celebrate Our ALA Tech Counselors!
In addition to sending a note of thanks, ALA Tech families are also invited to participate in a week of counselor appreciation! See this overview for the week’s celebrations. We want to show our appreciation to Ms. Ontiveros, Ms. Jackson and Ms. Martinez for all the care and support that they show our ALA Tech students daily! Gifts can be sent with your child or delivered to the ALA Tech front office.
Bond 2020 Meeting Invitation
On Wednesday, February 5th beginning at 6:00 pm, SAISD will host a Community Update Meeting at Brackenridge High School to discuss the 2020 bond and major renovation updates. All community members are invited to attend. View this flyer for additional information regarding the community meeting.
SLC Make-Up Day on Thursday, February 13th
Thank you to all of the families who were able to join us for our Student-Led Conferences this past week. It was wonderful to see our students proudly presenting their work and reflecting on their first semester. We would love to hear about your experience. Please take a moment to fill out the feedback form. The 1st three to complete the form will receive an HEB gift card!
On Thursday, February 13th, we will host an SLC Make-Up day to provide families with another opportunity to hear their students and for outside volunteers to come hear students as well. If you would like to volunteer for this event (escorting families & volunteers, listening to students present, etc), we would love to have your support! Email Ms. Eryn Bell, our ALA Tech Instructional Coach, at ebell3@saisd.net if you have any questions or would like to volunteer!
Black History Month Celebrations for 4th-12th Grade
The ALA Black Student Union is excited to celebrate Black History Month throughout February! The students have organized a variety of events that highlight Black history, culture, and provide opportunities for community building across our campus. Our ALA Tech students have dedicated significant time and effort to curating this month-long celebration.
Here is the calendar that outlines all of our events for February. On February 25, we will be hosting our biggest event of the month—a celebration that will highlight the creativity, talent, and hard work of our students! More details will be sent out in the coming weeks.
We look forward to seeing all students participate in these exciting and meaningful events!
