Head Teacher's Message
What a week - 5 years and 2 months after our first inspection, we welcomed back Ofsted on Tuesday and Wednesday for our long-anticipated second inspection. This was what is called an 'ungraded inspection'. This does not result in an individual graded judgement and instead it focuses on determining whether the school has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection. You can find the details of our first inspection on our website. We would expect to receive the outcome of this most recent inspection mid-May.
On behalf of all of the staff and trustees, thank you to all of those families who contacted us by a variety of means to wish us well and to send us such positivity and affirmations of how much your children love RTS. Whilst we were deep in preparations, and during the two-day inspection, your words were incredibly lifting and a huge support to staff.
I think I can confidently say that staff will be enjoying a much deserved rest this weekend before returning on Monday for our last week of the Spring Term.
Please read an urgent message below from FoRTS. They are seeking a Treasurer (or two) to replace the current Treasurers who are stepping down at the end of this academic year when their respective children leave Year 11 and the school.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our annual school production, which this year is Willy Russell's Blood Brothers, on Tuesday 01, Wednesday 02 and Thursday 03 April.
Enjoy your weekend - the weather is set to be warm.

Excellence Through Endeavour
On Wednesday 25 March we took the Year 9 Rugby 7s team to Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens - The world's largest school rugby tournament! This is the first time the school has been represented at this tournament.
The boys were drawn in a very tough group with games against Sherborne School, Queen Elizabeth's Hospital School and Oakham School.
Results were a mixed bag but a great effort from everyone involved nonetheless!
- Game 1: RTS - Sherborne School = 24-17
- Game 2: RTS - Queen Elizabeth's Hospital = 7-34
- Game 3: RTS - Oakham School = 14-35
A shout out for our try scorers: Stanley (1), Josh (1), Eric (1), Devraj (1), Dorian (1), George (2); and a huge well done to the whole team: Henry B., Stanley, Devraj, Edward, George H., Charlie, Dorian, Benjamin O., Devan, Eric, Jake, and Joshua Z.
Thank you to Mr Glossop for working hard with this team and for organising.
