Maury Gratrix was our guest speaker for Crestomere's Remembrance Ceremony. He encouraged us to celebrate our freedoms, and spent time in each classroom for student Q & A sessions. Thank-you to Mrs. Bogath and junior high students for creating a wonderful service this year.

A Visit from Maddison Pearman, Athlete Mentor
On December 4th, we were thrilled to have Maddison visit us, and share about her journey as an athlete. Baytex Energy representatives also joined in on our monthly assembly fun!
CWAJHAA Cross Country
We are proud of our school representation at CWAJHAA cross-country this year! Congrats to Trace Owen, Jayla Koleyak and Casyn Huseby for receiving medals for their runs.

Metis Week
Students learned about Metis culture, crafts and food during Metis week classroom activities mid November. Thank-you, Ms. G for encouraging us to explore connections throughout the week!
Christmas Basket Raffle - Dec 9-12
Friends of Crestomere is hosting a basket raffle fundraiser. We have beautiful themed baskets to view throughout the week of the concert. Tickets are available for purchase in the school office through the week and on the evening of the concert.
Christmas Concert - Thursday, December 12 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.
The grade 6 class has been preparing "Santa and the Owlhoot Gang" - a real western cowboy Christmas comedy for your enjoyment. They will be having a draw for "Best Seat in the House" - you can have a chance to WIN YOUR WAY TO THE FRONT SEAT by donating to the school music program (at the door). Friends of Crestomere Christmas Basket raffle is happening in room B100 - with tickets available for purchase before the concert, and at intermission.
Family Fun Night Wednesday, December 18 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Sports, board games and visiting with neighbours! Sponsored by Crestomere Rec Association
Classroom Champions Program at Crestomere School
This school year, we've been paired with Olympic athlete, Maddison Pearman, who will mentor our students through motivational videos, virtual visits and connections. This program has been sponsored in our school by Baytex, and includes weekly lessons that enhance social-emotional learning in our students.

Breakfast is available to all students each morning when they arrive, thanks to our grant from the Breakfast Club of Canada, and the planning and preparation by Mrs. Schindel and Ms. Thrun.

Competitive Edge Basketball Shooting Camp

Competitive Edge Sports Camps are back this holiday season and offering a 2-Day basketball shooting clinic. The camp will be hosted at Lacombe Composite High School once again. Registration is currently open. Please see the camp information below:
