Crestomere December Newsletter
Again, we say thank-you! We continue to be blessed by our parents and community! From the Friends of Crestomere Frost Festival and the beautiful Christmas light display to the skating rink ice, we are thankful! Our community coaches have begun basketball practices, and we've just had the first Canyon Ski day. Maddison Pearman, our Classroom Champions Athlete Mentor came to Crestomere for a visit along with representatives from Baytex Energy, who have sponsored the program for our school. As we prepare for our annual Christmas concert, we also want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Frost Festival
Frost Festival was a great success, with Santa and Mrs. Claus available for family photos, a cookie walk, Christmas activities and live music by Shalaine Stebner. Thank-you to Friends of Crestomere parent volunteers for your fundraising efforts for our school!
Volleyball Season Wraps Up
Our 3 volleyball teams wrapped up their season with hearty competition and fun end-of-seaon team celebrations. Special congrats to our "A" Girls team, which earned the Wolf Creek "J" banner, and a bronze medal at CWAJHAA's!

Congrats to Jordyn Millar, who received a bronze medal for the Wolf Creek Junior High Golf Tournament this fall!
A Visit from Maddison Pearman, Athlete Mentor
On December 4th, we were thrilled to have Maddison visit us, and share about her journey as an athlete. Baytex Energy representatives also joined in on our monthly assembly fun!
Skills Exploration Day
The students of Mrs. DeAtley and Mrs. Flewelling spent the past weeks preparing for their Skills Exploration project around the theme of "Alternative Housing". The gym was bustling with creativity as students created their prototypes and connected with other schools throughout the province.
Canyon Ski Day
We were the only school on the hill, and it was a beautiful day of perseverance for the little ones who were just learning. Huge thanks to ALL of the parents who helped out on the hill!
Christmas Concert - Thursday, December 12 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.
The grade 6 class has been preparing "Santa and the Owlhoot Gang" - a real western cowboy Christmas comedy for your enjoyment. They will be having a draw for "Best Seat in the House" - you can have a chance to WIN YOUR WAY TO THE FRONT SEAT by donating to the school music program (at the door). Friends of Crestomere Christmas Basket raffle is happening in room B100 - with tickets available for purchase before the concert, and at intermission.
