FAPS Sinking Fund Renewal
On November 8, 2022 Fenton Area Public Schools will be asking voters to consider renewing a Sinking Fund of .8707 mills for a period of 10 years. This renewal will not raise taxes, and will keep the funding levels consistent for the next 10 years. Please remember a sinking fund is to fund infrastructure projects or repairs as they arise. Please consult our website for more information on the projects that have been funded in the last three years with our last sinking fund.

Counselor's Corner
JOIN SOMETHING! The AGS Harry Potter Club met for our first lunch meeting of the 2022-2023 school year. It was great meeting your HP fans, & we will continue to meet on a monthly basis. If your student is interested in joining, but didn't get a chance to attend our first meeting, they are welcome to see me. We will announce our next meeting, so they will also hear about this opportunity to join.
The Leadership Council students have been working to make our new transfer students feel welcome, as well as promote Socktober.
Positivity Project - P2
Theme of the Week 10/10: Other People Matter: Being Present and Giving Others Attentioin
Next week is the character strength of OPM2.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
When you’re with other people, you’re
present and give them your full attention.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
When you are present and give your attention to others, you are able to build strong relationships. Relationships are the cornerstone of health, happiness, and resilience. You can’t build positive relationships without attention, so it is important to put down distractions and truly listen to people when they are talking.
“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
– Buddha
To practice and encourage the character strength of OPM2 with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2), where together you will watch a video, read a quote, and talk about the answers to three questions.
