Clements HS Weekly Newsletter
Happy New Year!
Ranger Nation,
We hope you and your family are having a restful Winter Break. We are very excited to kick off the new year #CHSstrong! As a reminder, we no longer print wall rosters to help students locate their 1st period class. We encourage all students to check their schedule in Skyward on January 3rd. All schedule changes from the fall semester will take effect in Skyward on this date.
There will be an email sent prior to the first day of school with more details and expectations regarding the first day of the spring semester.
CHS faculty and staff are excited to welcome our students back on January 4th!

Action Items and Reminders
- For all students who missed fall semester exam(s), make up exams need to be coordinated with their classroom teacher. These must be completed by January 12th.
- Parents, the front office is not responsible for mobile order lunch deliveries like Uber Eats or Door Dash. We also do not accept parent lunch deliveries. Managing deliveries present health concerns for our students and prevents us from properly serving the greater Clements community. Please encourage your child to pack a lunch or add funds to your child's school lunch account.
- As a part of the Whole Child Health Initiative, Fort Bend ISD is excited to present our second student success webinar of the school year: “Stress Management & Anxiety.” This session will focus on what FBISD’s students want to know about stress management and anxiety. Students will learn practical strategies for managing stress and anxiety in their academic and personal lives. This student success webinar will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 6 p.m. Student Success Webinar Link – Stress Management & Anxiety; FBISD Whole Child Health Webpage
- Please see attachment for YES guidelines.

Senior Dates - Parents, please see the attached document outlining this year's calendar of events for Seniors!
Senior Package – The senior package is available on RevTrak under the Class of 2024 tab. The package includes a yearbook, Prom Ticket, Senior Trip Ticket and Senior Sunset Ticket. This package is a great way for payments to be made throughout the year instead of paying for these items all at once. Also, you receive a discount by purchasing the package. A la carte items will be available for purchase later in the year.
Senior Yearbook Pictures – These are the pictures that your senior will take in order to be in the yearbook. In order to be in the yearbook you must schedule your senior picture appointment through www.cady.com. The deadline has passed to schedule your time on campus to take your picture for the yearbook. You can still visit their studio to take your picture for the yearbook. If you would like to attend the studio to get the full experience of taking pictures in their state of the art studio, you must schedule your appointment with them, also. All information is below. CADY will ensure that Mrs. Mayo receives the pictures you chose for the yearbook. There is no need to send anything to Mrs. Mayo.
As with last year, you will have three options for poses for your yearbook photo. Informal, Cap/Gown or Tux/Drape. You will be asked what your preference is when your pictures are complete. All pictures for the yearbook must be taken by February 1, 2024. After this deadline, you will not be located in the senior section of the yearbook. Contact CADY to schedule your appointment by visiting www.cady.com
Any questions regarding SENIORS…contact Fay Mayo. I am happy to help – fay.mayo@fortbendisd.com

The College & Career Resource Center (CCR) is where students seek advising related to the college admissions process, obtain scholarship and financial aid information, meet with university representatives, as well as explore career options. In addition to helping students select the best university specific to their needs; I also work with students on their essays, discuss college major choices, and prepare students for life in a collegiate setting by using the skills I cultivated during my 12 years working on a university campus.
Come see Mrs. Hollins-Crowder on Mondays and Wednesday during lunches. Students are also welcome to visit before, during, and after school.
