Thank you so much to all parents who attended conferences this week! It was wonderful to see all of you. Conferences are such a fun time to connect with families and share all the amazing things your children are doing here at Ridgeway. Thank you for making this time a priority!
Next Thursday, March 6 from 5:30-7 we will be hosting a Reading Under the Stars event. We will gather in the gym (lit with string lights) to sit and read as a family and connect as a school community. Parents are encouraged to have students pick books from home to bring, and we will also have books available to borrow. We encourage families to bring a blanket to sit on, as the tile floor in the gym gets cold. We will not have tables and chairs set up - the idea is mimicking gathering outside on a starry night to read. We will have various staff serving as guest readers in the music and art rooms who will read some of their favorite books aloud. In the library students will have an opportunity to decorate a bookmark to take with them. We are selling glowsticks for this event. Please see the graphic below for more details. We hope you can join us for an evening of connection and literacy!
Monday at 8am is the deadline for submitting letters of support for our educators who have been nominated for a CFAE (Columbia Fund for Academic Excellence) Outstanding Educator award. The more letters we submit on a candidate's behalf, the better chance they have to win. You can bring a hard copy or email your letter to Mrs. Graves (tgraves@cpsk12.org) by 8am Monday morning. Go Ridgeway!

Unit Notes
Unit A
Unit A parents please join me on Wednesday, March 5 at 5:30pm on Zoom for our Palmona Parent Launch. Our district is considering purchasing this program and asked for K-2 teams who were willing to pilot and help inform their decision. We are fortunate to have this opportunity, as we think Paloma could be a game changer! CLICK HERE Thursday at 5:30 to join the meeting!
A big Congratulations to Ram from Unit A who won first prize in the chess tournament held in Lange Middle School. We wish you the best of luck as you continue on to your next tournament!
Unit B
We enjoyed seeing everyone at parent teacher conferences. We hope you enjoy your Friday off with your student!
We are headed to Arrow Rock on May 15th. We will provide more details closer to time. We will learn about life in the past in the small Missouri town. This will support our learning about innovations in technology.
