Tomorrow, April 23 is the last day to submit changes to your 2024/2025 course requests. This is the last opportunity students will have to make any changes. If a student does not have alternate classes listed, they will be placed in classes needed for graduation. Please turn your updated forms into the counselling office or the Main office.

Auditions for Symphonic Choir are being held after school on April 22, 23, 29, and 30. Signups are outside the Choir classroom 503 by the PAC. Sign up for your audition spot today! Choir is a great way to make friends and have fun singing.

A big thank you to all our volunteers that help us here at Glacier Peak High School throughout the year! There are many people that donate their time to our different programs and in our classrooms that are a huge help to all of us. Thank you everyone for helping our Grizzlies have the very best experience all year long.

PM at the Peak is an opportunity for students to get specific support in their classes. It is not simply a ‘study hall’. While students are welcome to use the time to study and work independently, it is designed to provide students an opportunity to ask for, and receive help from teachers on their homework, essays, or use the computers.

• Room 219 on Tuesdays for Math

• SBA ELA testing is April 22-25 during regular scheduled ELA class
• Testing is for Sophomores only, juniors needing to test will be assigned a later date
• Room assignments are posted around the school – go find your name and make sure you know where you are supposed to go
• ALL students must use a district issued device, make sure it is charged and you bring your charging cord - Install any updates needed. If you need help stop by the Library and see Mrs. English this week to be ready for Monday
• Make-up testing is scheduled for April 26 in the Library 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for students who need more time or missed any testing days
• SBA Math testing is May 1st – stayed tuned for more information

Due to the State testing next week, April 22-26 the deca den will be closed for all purchases. Please make other plans when considering your lunch.

Check out our spring theatre performance - Disney Newsies – The Broadway Musical. This musical production will be held April 12-13, April 19-20 and April 25-27 in the Glacier Peak High School Performing Arts Center. Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right! Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience. Girls Track and Field won against Arlington last night at the meet, congratulations! Both teams preformed well and several PR's were broken. Good luck to the 47 athletes who will be attending Easton this weekend, come cheer them on at Veteran's Memorial Stadium.

Juniors! You are encouraged to attend one of the the Spring PNACAC College Fairs. The Snohomish County PNACAC fair will be Thursday, April 25 from 5:30-8 p.m. at WSU Everett Campus. The Seattle Fair will be Saturday, April 27 9-12 p.m. at Seattle University. Please see each fair link for registration information, and a list of participating colleges and universities.

ORCA is a running start college experience for high school students. Applications are due on May 1 and require three essays and a letter of recommendation. Please see the EvCC website for more information on the program and the open house.

Juniors interested in applying to UW for the 2025-26 school year, you are encouraged to attend the virtual Junior Dawg Day, where you will learn more about the application process, holistic review and the steps you can take now to prepare to apply this fall. Junior Dawg Day will be Wednesday, April 24 from 5-6 p.m.

Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center summer school is returning for another year! This is a free opportunity for all incoming district 9th-12th grade students. The programs available are a fun, condensed version of the year-long program allowing students to preview what it would be like being a Sno-Isle TECH student. Students can also earn .5 high school elective credits upon successful completion to help work towards graduation requirements.

The summer school program will run from June 24-July 12 (with July 4/5 off) during the hours of 7:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Transportation is not provided for summer school, and students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the Sno-Isle TECH campus. During the program students will be provided with lunch and a snack.

Registration for summer school will open Monday, April 15, at 9 a.m. Register at www.snoisletech.com under “Resources” and then “Summer School.” Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Programs will fill quickly!

• Auto tech/auto body (combined)

• Criminal justice

• Culinary arts

Grad-night Party Team - Looking for a fun opportunity to help plan your kiddo’s grad night party? Do we have an opportunity for you! We need at a minimum 4 volunteers to set this team up. (No team, no party – this is not something the parent org organizes.) We are looking for a grad night team to form, by May 1, so that the Parent Org can get you set up before the end of the school year. This spring, the Ride 360 app our district uses to provide our families with student transportation information will be migrated to a replacement app, My Ride K-12. parents/guardians, students, and others will need to download the new app to access updated transportation information for your child(ren).

The new app, My Ride K-12, is available to download now. Links to the new app are available below:

Usernames and passwords from Ride 360 will transition to My Ride K-12. Additionally, existing log-in information can be used to access a web version of My Ride K-12 at myridek12.tylerapp.com. Parents/guardians will need to use their student ID# and current grade level to add their student to the app. My Ride K-12 will continue to provide secure access to student bus schedule/routing information, which can include the bus stop, route, and bus number. This is accessible on mobile devices and is confidential and secure. All app users will need to download the new app before the Ride 360 app is retired on May 1, 2024.

To maintain accurate attendance records we would like to provide these helpful reminders and tips for reporting an absence, a late arrival or request for an early dismissal. Choose from one of the four easy ways to report absences.

• Email gph-attendance@sno.wednet.edu
• A written note signed by a parent/guardian or medical/dental provider.
• Please provide your student's first and last name, the date of the absence and a reason for the absence. Please spell the name if needed.
• An absence will be considered excused when we receive notification from a parent or legal guardian in the attendance office within 48 hours of the absence.
