The last Progress Report of the semester has been posted! Now is a key time to review your student's progress and discuss their plan for success on final semester grades. Student grades are updated in Infinite Campus and can be monitored by parents via Parent Portal.

A late bus is being made available for tutorials after Thanksgiving break but advanced sign up is required. Complete the form below by November 20th at 8am to secure your seat!

Extended Tutorial is planned on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week this semester. Students can stay after school for ANY teacher's office hours, clubs, and/or teams and then report to the extended tutorial. Students must be picked up by 6pm on extended tutorial days. This allows families a later window for transportation while allowing students access to extracurriculars and office hours..

Students can go by afterschool before 4pm to get hands-on experience with robots just around the corner from school at Piedmont Rockdale. See the flyer below for more information. No prior sign up is required but our Magnet Counselor Ms. Lindsey is planning to be on site so please check in with her if you do attend.

RCPS High School students have the opportunity to earn the ability to exempt a semester exam in one or more of their classes. Please review the important information below with your student ahead of First Semester 9th-12th grade final exams scheduled for December 18th-20th. Eligible students will need to complete and return the form to the front office at Rockdale Magnet School or email it to MagnetOffice@rockdale.k12.ga.us between December 9th and Tuesday, December 17th at noon.

All 9, 10th, &11th grade students and at least one adult family member should plan to attend our Advisement and Schedule Planning Meeting next week on Thursday, December 12th from 6-7:30pm. We are excited to begin planning next steps in your college & career journey as well as next school year. This meeting is planned to be virtual to assist with increased participation with our families and their schedules. Teams link will be shared after Thanksgiving.

CONGRATULATIONS to RCPS Teacher of the Year Dr. Chuck Garner of Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology! Dr. Garner was announced as the district winner at the 2024 RCPS Teacher of the Year Celebration, held November 7, 2024, at Rockdale Career Academy, where all school-level Teachers of the Year and top three district finalists were honored and celebrated.

Mrs. Jones’ AP and Magnet Biology courses completed either Cellular Respiration or Photosynthesis Music Videos to review the information in Unit 3. Students viewed the videos in class and voted on a People’s Choice Award. The following videos were the winners for the People’s Choice Awards for their class.
