Happy Spring! We are all looking forward to warmer weather and all that the spring season has to offer us here at the New Jersey Shore!

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our February and March fifth grade "Students of the Month" here at the Forked River School. These students were chosen by our special area teachers for their positive attitudes, helpful nature, and strong work ethic:

In an effort to reduce the risk of loss or damage, we are asking our students to please keep personal toys and electronic games at home. Cellular phones and smart watches may be kept in backpacks and silenced as we recognize some students have these devices for safety reasons. No photos or videos can ever be taken at school on the bus or at the bus stop as we have many students who can not be photographed at their parents' request for safety reasons. Thank you!

• April 8th - Our Ocean County Math League Teams will compete at FRS
• April 10th - FRS PTA Game Night - See Mr. Fiedler's March 28th Email to Purchase Tickets
• April 14th - Celebrate Spring, Dress Your Best - Wear your favorite fancy spring outfit.
• April 15th - Fourth Grade Beginner Band Concert 7:30 PM at the LTHS Auditorium
• April 17th - Celebrate Earth Day - Wear Blue and Green.
• April 17th - FRS PTA Tom and Dee's Earth Day Italian Ice fundraiser
• April 17th - FRS Chorus Concert 7:00 PM at the LTHS Auditorium
• April 18th - 25th - The Lacey Township School District will be closed for Spring Break.
• April 29th and 30th - The New Jersey Student Learning Assessments will be given to students in grades 3, 4, and 5.

The NJSLA state testing for our students in grade three, four, and five will take place on April 29th and 30th as well as May 5th, 6th, and 7th. Fifth grade will have two additional days of testing on May 12th and 13th. A good night's rest and healthy breakfast always sets our students up for a successful day at school!

We would like to congratulate Mrs. Nachman who is the Forked River School's 2025 Teacher of the Year! Additionally, we would like to congratulate all of the Teachers of the Year here in Lacey and across our great nation!
