November 1
11/1

Dear Families:
It’s hard to believe November is upon us! We’ve had an exciting week here at Pentucket, with so much happening as we head into the final stretch of Term 1. Our students have been working hard, and it shows. As Term 1 wraps up, I want to acknowledge everyone's efforts in making this start to the year so strong.
Our seniors are deep in college application season, thoughtfully preparing their applications and exploring their futures. In athletics, our fall sports teams have had a fantastic season, and we’re excited to have some teams moving on to playoffs! We’re cheering them on as they take on the competition and make us all proud.
We also had a fantastic first weekend of our fall play, Clue. Our students' performances were outstanding, and we’re looking forward to more shows to come! This weekend promises to be just as great, and we encourage everyone to come out to support our talented actors and crew.
Halloween brought some extra fun to the week as well! Our faculty got in the spirit with a dress-up contest, and it was a blast seeing the creative costumes they put together. It’s always fun to share a little lighthearted competition and Halloween spirit in the halls.
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for our Spirit Week, a favorite time of year when we celebrate all that makes Pentucket special. Stay tuned for updates on theme days and activities planned. Let’s keep the energy high as we head into November and embrace all the opportunities and celebrations that await.
Important Dates:

We welcome novices through intermediate wrestlers, and match wrestlers with partners of appropriate size and skill. Wrestlers will learn correct wrestling stance, take-downs, defensive tactics, pinning combinations, escapes, and reversals.

2nd Annual Veterans Day Clinic: Join Pentucket Girls Basketball to Support Local Children in Need
On Monday, November 11, 2024, the Pentucket Girls Varsity basketball team and Coach McNamara are hosting our second annual Veterans Day Clinic! The team is partnering with the Greater Lawrence Children and Families Organization to support foster kids. Last year we had an amazing turnout and hope that we can do even better this year! ALL of the money raised from this event will yet again be put towards purchasing essential items for kids when transitioning into a foster home. During this stressful time, many kids are only able to take the clothes they are wearing with them. The money would allow us to provide them with basic necessities like clothes and toiletries to help with the transition. We are planning a morning of skills, drills, and lots of fun! Players from all towns are welcome! No basketball experience is required. We are so grateful for the ongoing support from the community and are looking forward to this opportunity to give back for the second year in a row!

Project Cloud 9
Project Cloud Nine is an initiative that provides hospitalized pediatric patients with activity bags that can be used throughout and even after the duration of their hospital stay. Our mission is to provide resources for patients that will make them feel like they are on Cloud Nine!
We developed Project Cloud Nine with the purpose of providing the hospitalized pediatric patients of Lawrence General Hospital and Anna Jaques Hospital with activities and toys that they can use during their stay. We believe that when these patients have access to more resources, such as those our initiative provides, they will have increased opportunities to reduce stress through play, thus resulting in a better overall hospital experience.
These bags will contain coloring books, crayons, puzzles, decks of cards, stress toys, and more, and will be created through donations made by members of our local community. Please consider donating through this link:
