A Message from our Principal
Hello Las Lomas Families!
First, I want to say a huge thank you to all of the parents and community members who came out in support of our Homecoming Week. We had an incredible fun-filled week that allowed the students to shine. Please check out the Las Lomas Knights Instagram page and you can see a highlight video from all the fun events posted there.
I do want to say a huge thank you to all of our Parent Advisors to each class of students. The parents work tirelessly to help get all of the Homecoming events to happen. There are nights and weekend preparation activities for weeks before Homecoming that our parent advisors have been providing all the support our students need to be able to pull off this week. I am so proud of our ASB students and their teacher Ms. Sheehan would put on inclusive events all week that every student can find a place in.
In other news, there will be some updates coming to the Knight's News in the next few weeks. We are trying to adjust how we share news with our community each week and we have heard the concerns around too many repetitive items and that the new format is harder for people to find information. So we are going to take the feedback and make some adjustments.
We will continue our new format through the end of October and beginning in November we will use the updated format. Beginning in November, items can only be run in the Knight's News for two weeks in a row. We are going to move away from sending Knight's News on Wednesdays and we are going to send it out Friday morning instead. We hope that will eliminate the need to run items for multiple weeks in a row. We will also move to listing all new items in the Knight's New to directly under my Principal message. All repeated events will be listed below the new items. Please bear with us as we make some adjustments to be able to better communicate with our community.
Lastly, this Friday will end our 1st quarter. This is the week to remind students to get in any late assignments and get their tests made up if needed. We are also putting supports in place to launch peer tutoring after school. More information will go to students from the Counseling Center.
This week is our Pink Out for our Friday Night Lights. We hope you will come out and cheer on our Knights!
Go Knights!

LLHS HOSA
We would like to congratulate our very own LLHS HOSA Senior Student CLAIRE SU! During the spring 2024, CAL HOSA State Leadership Conference, Claire was elected to represent our HOSA region as a California HOSA State Officer. She was invited to join National HOSA Leadership in Washington D.C. for the 18th Annual Washington Leadership Academy the last week of September!
Claire is pictured below (4th from the Left) with other National HOSA students who met with Congressman Mark DeSaulnier's Legislative Assistant, Nick Melcher. They discussed the Perkins Act, which directly benefits CTE classes, for instance those classes in the Biomedical Pathway here at LLHS as Perkins is a legislative topic on the agenda for reauthorization this year. Thank you Claire for your dedication to LLHS HOSA, CAL HOSA, National HOSA and the Biomedical Pathway.
